This museum exceeded my expectations! It was recommended to me and my friend and we went there spontaneously and was pleasantly surprised! There was really cool immersive experiences, rooms, galleries, globes and artefacts. The art was very touching and we had a fantastic experience.

The building's design immediately caught my attention. The architecture is stunning, and the composition is beautifully executed. Honestly, just visiting the site to take photos both outside and inside would have been worth it, as you’re allowed entry up to a certain point without a ticket.

I purchased a ticket for the Cosmos e Sonhos exhibition, and unfortunately, it was completely underwhelming. There was nothing surprising or thought-provoking about it. The exhibition consisted mostly of text and photos without much artistic composition or a deeper perspective to make it engaging. Even the "interactive" sections were essentially just more text. There were also some quizzes to determine what kind of human you are, your impact on global destruction, and similar themes—basic stuff, almost like BuzzFeed-style personality tests.

My advice? Visit the museum for the architecture and atmosphere, but don’t waste your money on the exhibition unless they completely revamp it. Even if the museum were free, my review would still be just "okay" at best. There are far better attractions in the city worth prioritizing.

A ten minute walk from the cruise ship docks in Rio de Janeiro.  This museum is architecturally attractive and is air conditioned and roomy.  There are some interactive exhibits.  Even though I am an American resident here in Brazil for more than ten years, I am well aware of the current anti-science, pro selfish and pro ignorance and greed positions of the current American fascist administration.  Most of the exhibits here would be banned and prohibited in most states.  The exhibits clearly show how human activity is altering and ruining the environment. It is critical of economic systems that enable and encourage the destruction. The museum has a cafe and a gift shop with lots of cool stuff for sale.  This museum should be a must see for all visitors to Rio.

Nice museum, beautiful touch of present and future but I wish it was little more on english side, mostly it's all in Portuguese, it was slight hassle to translate it to English, otherwise it's great place, pricing is cheap to 30 reals, which is pretty decent price for the same. This is my first time in any futuristic museum and it was worth it, would recommend if any one visits Rio de Janeiro.

Located at the waterfront of Praça Mauá, this futuristic building is inspired by nature, with its elongated shape resembling a bird in flight or the movement of waves.

Inside, the museum focuses on themes of sustainability, climate change, and the future of humanity. The permanent exhibition uses multimedia installations and scientific data to explore how our choices today will shape the world of tomorrow. While the concept is fascinating, I expected a bit more interactivity and modern technological elements to enhance the experience.

Opened in 2015, the museum covers around 15,000 square meters and attracts millions of visitors each year. Despite some limitations, it’s still an interesting place to visit, especially for those interested in science and the environment. Plus, the surrounding area offers great views and a pleasant waterfront atmosphere!
