We thoroughly enjoyed our two-week stay at this impressive resort.  The staff consistently provided exceptional service, exceeding our expectations.  The pool area is truly amazing, offering a relaxing and enjoyable experience.  Having a lifeguard present on the beach provided added peace of mind.  Dining options were plentiful and diverse, catering to various tastes.  The entire property was impeccably maintained, reflecting a high standard of cleanliness.  The luxurious accommodations and amenities enhanced our overall experience.  We highly recommend this resort for a truly memorable vacation.

The staff here absolutely deserves a 5/5 for their outstanding service. It’s important to note that the issues we faced were due to the outdated and poorly maintained facilities, not the team.

We checked in on the 8th floor after arriving at 9 a.m. and ended up waiting until almost 3 p.m. for our room, despite having requested an earlier check-in a few months back. (International Flight) Taiana was a gem, allowing us to have breakfast downstairs, and I have to give an A+ to Patricia and the kitchen staff for offering great, fresh food.

When we finally got into our ocean view room, it was cool the shower water was scalding hot, and the bathroom definitely needs an update. The view was lovely, but by the time we could enjoy it, it was getting dark because we had to wait so long. We ended up being moved to the 19th floor the next day at around 7 p.m., which wasn’t ideal for our vacation. The online pictures matched but the bathrooms were terrible. Not what we experienced at all.

Also, a heads-up about safety: It's best to avoid walking to the city, as there’s a favela on the mountain, and our friends and hotel staff recommended against it. Taxis are available but more pricey, usually double that of an Uber, which we found to be safe and convenient. 20 to 40 R depending on the Uber.

The restaurant at night is open air and welcoming with regards to Lucia (A+)whom took the time to interact with us. Just a few mosquitos and other insects but the grounds were clean. Again, outdated and the lights need to be serviced.

On the brighter side, the beach is semi-private, you can use bikes on-site, and the bar has a fun, energetic vibe, perfect for families. Overall, there's definitely room for improvement for a global hotel such as the Sheraton to take care their buildings to meet the expectations set during booking, but the staff really does make a difference! Sheraton do an upgrade for this hotel and the beautiful staff that is employed here in Rio.

This is a beautiful resort all around. The restaurants are great. The prices aren't high. Waking up to hearing waves. Going to sleep to hearing the soft waves. It's just a different type of vibe. so relaxing. The workers are very helpful, especially when it came to deciding good food to get. They suggest a great options

We had an amazing experience here. The hotel is very beautiful, we loved the view from our room, the breakfast, the pool area.
Near is the beach Vidigal which is not crowded, is quietly and beautiful. You can relax and admire the view.

This Sheraton offered us the most stunning ocean view we’ve ever seen in Rio de Janeiro!

The room itself is fine, spacious with a balcony; checkin was easy, there’s a US$15 resort fee per night. The hotel also provides beach chairs and umbrellas for the guests on the beach which is a plus! We wish we could’ve spent more time in their pool and jacuzzi!

Downsides are: 1) it’s a little difficult to get around the hotel without a rental car; our dining options are either inside the hotel (which we tried the buffet and Italian), or getting an Uber to Ipanema beach. 2) Room service was a little slow which was understandable as we stayed during the carnival. We ordered chicken soup but it was lukewarm when delivered.

Jag firade min partners födelsedag på L’Etoile och hade en fantastisk upplevelse. Eduardo var vår server och han gjorde fantastiskt! Han gjorde ett fantastiskt jobb med att beskriva maten, chatta med oss och ge övergripande otrolig och uppmärksam Service. Maten var också riktigt fantastisk! Vi fick båda avsmakningsmenyn, som hade fantastiska bitar inklusive skaldjur och kött, samt två desserter - allt för ett riktigt bra värde också (~ 120 $ USD per person, ärligt talat vansinnigt värde enligt min åsikt för kvalitet och kvantitet av mat). Atmosfären var också riktigt romantisk; vår värdinna Luisa satt oss vid ett hörnbord med utsikt över Rio på natten. Luisa sjöng till och med för min partner på hennes födelsedag; hon hade en riktigt härlig röst! Sammantaget fantastisk upplevelse och skulle älska att gå tillbaka om någonsin tillbaka i Rio. Tack Eduardo och Luisa!

Jag gick för min årsdag firande med min fru, allt var utmärkt. Behandling av vår server Edson var utmärkt, maten var utsökt. Vi fick även några addittional tallrikar som en artighet! Fick ett utmärkt hörnbord med den bästa utsikten över staden och havet! Jag skulle definitivt återvända hit.

Edson och Susana var otroliga värdar! Jag njöt verkligen av blindprovningen med vinparning. Maten var helt utsökt! Kommer definitivt tillbaka. : )

Bra arbete på 26: e Club, 7 dagars vistelse.... Min familj älskade det Gästfriheten är oöverträffad och utlänningar kan känna sig hemma. Extremt organiserad och hela personalen är engagerad för att du ska känna dig välkommen Bruno och Edinaldo, bra människor.

Jag trodde verkligen att det här var en Joel Robuchon och den jämfördes till och med med med en Robuchon restaurang ! Atmosfären är helt underbar och uppmärksamheten på detaljer är underbar. Du har utsikt över havet nedanför och vilken överraskning de hade även fyrverkerier som går ut ovanför staden! Kunde inte ha varit mer perfekt. Vi hade hemlighet Eduardo och han var fantastisk! Super professionell och mycket artig och inbjudande. All mat var exceptionell från brödet, räkorna aptitretare, ostron amuse bouche, till biffar och desserter. Jag äter aldrig lamm eller ostron och detta var mitt första ostron och det var faktiskt ganska gott. Höjdpunkten fick mig att smaka på desserten med äppelkaka, pistaschflakeydessert och chokladhasselnötter. Vi får till och med en avskedspresent av choklad att gå. Ser fram emot att åka tillbaka snart!

Tobias var utmärkt och professionell. Han hjälpte oss att känna sig välkomna och föreslog bra mat! Restaurangen var ren, tillmötesgående, och maten var utsökt. Luisa var också snäll och vänlig!

Två av oss åt filet mingnon med gåslever och en av oss åt lamm. Allt tillagat till perfektion och utsökt. Service fantastisk. Restaurangtemperaturen var lite varm. Vin urval bra. Det fanns en blandning upp med vår bokning, restaurangen trodde att vår bokning var kvällen innan det var, vi var mycket tydlig på vilken natt vi skulle komma och mixen upp var på deras sida och de skulle inte ta ansvar, misstag hända, äga dem. Detta lämnade lite sur smak hos oss. Förrätten storlek var löjligt liten, har du blivit varnad. Efterrätter fantastisk smak och presentation. Vi skulle gå tillbaka igen. När du gör en bokning, be dem upprepa det tillbaka till dig... .

Jag har varit här många gånger och har alltid haft en fantastisk upplevelse. Personalen inklusive Denise, Diego, Gabriel, Bruno, Porto och Leonardo är de bästa av de bästa!

Med min fru vi besöker denna plats som en del av vår smekmånad och det var utmärkt, tjänsten var en av de bästa sakerna på platsen, Cosme var exceptionellt snäll, en stor person och gjorde vårt besök en perfekt en. Maten var den bästa vi någonsin haft, så mycket smak, helt utsökt. Susana kontaktade oss och hade ett bra samtal också. Detta var definitivt en stor upplevelse, en av ett slag, det överträffade alla våra förväntningar.

Hade en födelsedagsmiddag med min man. Det var en stor upplevelse, hur de välkomnade oss, serverade mat, hade trevligt litet samtal med oss, sjöng en glad födelsedagssång till min man. Förresten den unga damen manager har en vacker röst 😉 De presenterade också en gratis bit av kakan med ett ljus som vi inte förväntade oss. Alla var så genuint varma och fina vi älskade det 😊 Maten var jättebra, hade lite aptitretare och bläckfisk som huvudrätt, det var jättegott och bara smälte i munnen. Stort tack till Cosme, han var så snäll mot oss och uppmärksam, stor professionell!

Jag kan inte rekommendera L'Etoile högt nog. Från det ögonblick värden välkomnade mig till serverns adjö med en gåva av choklad, var detta en gudomlig matupplevelse. Jag valde den sju - rätters provsmakning måltid, och varje rätt överträffade den tidigare i presentation, smak och geniala ingrediens - parning. Kurserna innehöll läckra ostron, suckulent fisk, filet mignon och två läckra desserträtter (bokfört med vanilj och choklad, naturligtvis). Servicen var exceptionell, och en speciell shout - ut till Tobias, som var enastående. Detta är en Michelin Star restaurang, och L'Etoile är onekligen en lysande stjärna i Rio.

Super super romantisk och elegant restaurang, med 10 / 10 service! ! Vi var omhändertagna av Cosme som var så vänlig och uppmärksam. Mycket rekommenderat : )
