The sushi is amazing, I really recommend. It's pricey but worth it for a night. We got the "basic for 2" and the salmon carpaccio with truffle oil. It was really good and quite big. The service was really average - they were slow to take our order and forgot drinks. The customers around us were leaving dishes half full which made me a bit sad, knowing the quality and the price of this food.

I've had better sushi for 3x cheaper and 10x tastier. The salmon is chewy, has a very plain flavor, and the after taste is slightly musty. The rice is also very plain tasting. Lastly the flavors and seasoning used just make the sushi taste weird.

It was just Okay. I was the only person there - literally - which is not great for vibe. Their soy sauce tastes honestly strange and the ginger was not sharp. I’ve had wonderful top quality sushi in my life and this was not that.

I came here because I was told it was the best sushi place in town. I went in the day as it was pretty quiet and easy to get a table. The evening before was impossible. They run a first come first serve system as far as I understand. I had the shrimp tempura for starters. This was very nice though the dip was lacking any serious heat. For mains I had salmon skin special - this was pretty crunchy and flavoursome. As expected. I also ordered the spicy shrimp. Initially this came out with avocado that was not ripe. It was tough and bland. The sauce again is not spicy at all. I sent it back. They replaced it. This took over 10 mins to come back as they served other customers first. The replacement was better. Overall decent. But have had better sushi in Rio.
The other thing was there was no consistent waiter. The one who initially served me was pleasant. The one who brought the replacement strolled towards me like I was a troublesome customer and made no apology. The waiters were generally inattentive.

Sushin var god, men chefen gjorde vår middag obehaglig. Jag gick med min pojkvän, chefen liksom kastade menyn vid vårt bord och var super oförskämd hela tiden. Jag har haft min matupplevelse här. Vi kunde sitta i sushibaren som var coolt att se de kockar på jobbet. Vi provade 2 appar (var bara okej) och 4 sushi objekt (ganska bra och en var fantastisk) , hade två öl och den totala kom till mindre än $ 75 USD. Det är svårt att slå på en Michelinbelönad restaurang. Så även om det inte var den bästa sushi jag någonsin ätit, skulle jag rekommendera eftersom det är anständigt, har en cool vibe och verkade ha värde jämfört med USA och andra länder.

Vi har besökt denna plats några gånger under åren som Rio är en favorit plats för oss. Även om den presenterades väl, var tonfisken/laxen med krispigt ris, tonfisk/lax tacos och tonfisksallad med krispig nori intetsägande i bästa fall.
