Kan Suke, a Michelin-starred sushi restaurant in São Paulo, offers a traditional cold/hot omakase experience for 550 Brazilian reais. Given its reputation and the vibrant sushi scene in São Paulo, our expectations were high. Unfortunately, our visit left us somewhat disappointed.

While the ambiance and service were commendable, the quality of the fish, which is paramount in a sushi restaurant, did not meet our expectations. Many pieces had a fibrous texture, lacking the buttery smoothness one anticipates from top-tier sushi. In comparison to other high-end sushi establishments in São Paulo, Kan Suke's offerings felt average at best.

Considering the premium pricing, the overall experience did not justify the cost. Given the city's impressive array of sushi options, I wouldn't recommend Kan Suke and don't plan to return.

Authentic atmosphere, friendly chefs. However I was disappointed in the food as a Japanese. We ordered two of the 12 sushi and 1 of the 8 sushi. Every sushi had way too much wasabi, I had tears in my eyes. The unagi has too much sake flavor, the ikura that I was looking forward to, only tasted like the raw egg that was covering it. The staff were not hospitable when we asked basic questions like what type of fish were included - only replied with “I don’t know.” They were kicking their shoes off messily when entering the tatami area, which I expected more from a Michelin star restaurant. The ebi and toro, and complimentary soup was good.

One of the best authentic Japanese food in town!
Had omakase experience and was impressed by each dish which was executed by the talent chef.  Some dishes might seem to be simple but it mixs together perfectly within a bite. Strongly recommend to visit and try. Very authentic and delicious. It's worth every single Michellin stars :)

This has got to be my favourite sushi restaurant in Sao Paulo. You can either enjoy the meal at the counter/ chefs table or upstairs in a traditional Japanese setting where one is seated on the floor which is a great way to enjoy sushi in my opinion. The selection of sashimis and were exquisite. The miso soup and hot dishes great also. I highly recommend a visit.

Incredible experience with a master at his craft. Everything we ate was amazing. We had the omakase option with 12 dishes, 3 hot and 8 sushi. Make reservations in advance as it fills up early.

Hade en stor omakase måltid här. Bra utbud av rätter (vi gick för alternativet med varma och kalla / råa och kokta element). Vi valde en skull som var uppenbarligen lokalt bryggd (i. E. Kock Egashira är exakt, fokuserad på perfektion och är uppmärksam på varje detalj av din måltid. Mycket autentisk räknare restaurang, och fantastiskt att titta på kockarna i åtgärd. Tyvärr hittade jag min sashimi lite tjuv och intetsägande och hittade till och med ett ben i laxen. Degustaci n någon bredvid mig hade att se otroligt ut, så om du har pengarna kanske prova det.

Detta är den bästa restaurangen att ha japansk mat i Brasil och kan även jämföras med de bästa platserna i Japan. När du väl besöker Kan, blir det väldigt svårt att ha sushi och sashimi i någon annan restaurang. Mästaren Egashira sätter sitt hjärta på varje maträtt som serverar dig och erfarenheten är unik!

En äkta japansk mat i Sao Paulo. Färska råvaror gör en meny med begränsad alternativ (inklusive för drycker) men mycket väl utförd. Begränsade alternativ för drycker. Ett litet och enkelt miljö. En kall och inte mycket vänlig personal. I sammanfattning, en alltför mycket upprörda och extremt dyra restaurang. En restaurang för dem som är som ägnas en traditionell, inte mycket nyskapande, japanska rätter och kan ha råd att betala för det.

Om du vill ha en verkligt japansk restaurang upplevelse du måste gå till det här stället. Men vara medveten om: när jag säger en verklig upplevelse jag menar du kommer att behöva att följa deras regler, så inte glömma att göra en reservation (plats är litet) och de alla talar en snabb titt på portugisiska. Jag åkte dit för lunch och smakade den bästa tirashi jag någonsin fått, så jag såg en bokning för en middag och jag är angelägen om att avsmakningsmeny.

En underbar upplevelse. Japansk mat i bästa stil. Kocken Egashira-san guider hur du njuta av vad serveras. Avsmakningsmenyn med varma och kalla rätter är helt enkelt gudomliga. Det finns ingen jämförelse med andra bra japanska restauranger i São Paulo. Det är andra gången jag besöker restaurangen, och första gången jag var tillsammans med en Tokyo japanska som beställde rätter. Den här gången jag hade avsmakningsmenyn och det var excellentt.
