I went to this restaurant the first time probably 25 years ago! The food is still amazing and it was a lovely surprise to see Rodrigo, the chef, the owner, there! I even bought a book about the history of the restaurant. I highly recommend this restaurant and try to arrive early because it can get really busy!

An authentic Northeastern Brazilian experience. The house caldo is rich, gelatinous and delicious; the mandioca was soft and buttery and all the pesticos were on point. Wished we could fit dessert but we were happily full of food.

Imagine a restaurant based it food and service focused on a region. This is Mocotó! You won't regret the visit.  Very polited and informed staff, even when you arrive minutes to close be sure you will be well served.
Don't let to try the pork chip. One of the best entries.
In our last visit I Ordered a Rabada. Was wonderful.
I strong recommend this place.

The cheapest Michelin 1 star restaurant around Sao Paulo. The atmosphere was relaxed and almost homey without the use of air conditioners. The waiter was kind and knowledgeable about the menu although they messed up our order which delayed it by 40 minutes.

I can't speak for how authentic it is as I am not from Brazil. However, according to my local friends, the food is very authentic. We all agreed that the food was good. However, we also agreed it wasn't amazing considering the price compared to other similar restaurants. The Michelin star definitely allowed them to spring up their price. Nonetheless, I would definitely go back and recommend anyone in the area to visit.

This restaurant serves delicious Brazilian food, service was great. We ordered carne de sol, baiao de dois and escondidinho everything was delicious, served two people. Location is a little bit far from tourist places but worth going all the way to this place, make a reservation to avoid line, we had to wait for 45min because we didn’t had a reservation, there’s place to sit while waiting and order drinks or appetizers.
