My husband and I enjoy visiting Michelin restaurants around, all distinctions. Until yesterday, I had the impression that Michelin restaurants in Brazil are not comparable to the internationals one, in the same distinction. But yesterday, Tuju changed my mind, we though you are, so far, the best in SP, it is totally comparable to some two stars Michelin we visited around, and we must confess we could place Tuju in our top 5. Speaking of two stars Michelin, not that we visited all in Brazil, we have only been at Evvai, which didn’t ring the bells.
My favorites are CODA in Berlin, Narisawa in Tokyo. My husband prefers Tim Raue, Horváth, both in Berlin, and Narisawa. Now we add Tuju.
We had a very great experience at Tuju, the food was very very good, from amuse bouche to desserts. The service impeccable. The only think we could comment was the petit four in the end, they were Brazilian style too heavy in sugar for our taste, but we totally understand you must please your Brazilians clients, that are probably the majority.

2 Star Michelin restaurant, one year after reopening at a 3 floors restaurant, you begin your journey with the hostess who guide you to the bar where you get some drinks (alcohol free for me) and some hors d'oeuvre. When the table is set someone will guide you to the first floor (lift or stairs) passing through a hallway to a wooden door where you are welcomed by your name to the table where the menu experience will take. The menu changes as the seasons and I had “Temporada de Umidade” 8 courses falling by 2 of desserts. It takes by 1h30 where again you’re guided to the top floor with an open space and a mirror pool, a place to relax, get a tea, a coffee or a digestifs, get to know the local chocolaterie and taste some of their best. That’s the final destination where you get the check and gets in the real world. Chef Ivan Ralston is the one in charge of this experience who is always present and leading the staff with great knowledge.
