The atmosphere at this restaurant was fantastic, and the food was exceptional. However, what truly set this place apart was the outstanding service. During our time in Rio, we’ve encountered some disappointing service experiences, but Carol completely turned things around for us. Her attentiveness and professionalism made our visit truly memorable!

I hadn’t planned to eat here, but when my original choice was closed, I stopped in for a quick drink. The menu, service, and incredible wine quickly won me over. The Chardonnay was exceptional, and the mushroom pasta with filet mignon was easily one of the best pastas I’ve ever had. The service was the best I’ve experienced in Rio—my waiter was knowledgeable, passionate, and made my night truly special. The restaurant is beautiful, and I can’t stop thinking about my experience. I’d love to return and highly recommend this place!

Top 3 spots in Rio. Phenomenal octopus and bursts pizza entrees. Filet mignon pasta was fantastic and Carol’s service was top tier. This was a breath of fresh air in the Rio dining scene. Highly recommended! Great prices too.

The crispy pulpo was perfect! The tiramisu was amazing. By far the best tiramisu I had. Slow servie but I guess it’s worth the wait.

We stumbled upon this restaurant and decided to check it out because it was packed. Italian food is pretty popular in Brazil and we were curious to try it. The place is small and the tables are really close together, which wasn’t the most comfortable.

Food:

We were hoping to try the pizza because it looked good in the pictures, but they didn’t have any. Strange, since they were still making focaccia. For our main courses, we had the tortellini pasta with gorgonzola and jam inside. It seemed like a good combination, but the ravioli was too big so it wasn’t balanced. It was hard to tell if it was a main course or dessert. They brought it out on a plate with a chip on it, which is not sanitary and kind of ruined the impression of the restaurant. We also had the fish of the day with lemon risotto. I liked the risotto more than the fish. The fish was a little dry and not very juicy. The crispy skin was good though. For dessert, we had tiramisu. It was good but a little heavy. It needed some more balance and lightness.

Service:

The waiters didn’t speak English, but that’s no big deal. Service was fine, though we had to wait quite a while for our order.

Overall:

We felt like there were better Italian restaurants around. Plus, there was no pizza, which was weird since they still made focaccia. For us, this was a one-time visit.

En av våra favorit måltider vi hade under vår tid i Rio! Jag fick Fideuá som var utsökt och min man fick pizza. Trevlig service och miljö.

Min fru och jag hade en bra middag här. Menyn var sofistikerad utan att vara snobbig, och allt var utsökt. Vi båda hade två cocktails och och aptitretare, och fortfarande var middagen mycket prisvärd. Skulle komma tillbaka nästa gång jag är i Rio!

Jag gick med en kollega till en affärslunch den 3 december 2019. Tjänsten var exceptionell. Vi beställde den dagliga specialen som började med varma små franska brödstycken med smör och olivolja. Brödet var mycket bra. Dagens special bestod av en fin liten sallad av olika typer av sallad, bitar med fina gröna oliver och vad som såg ut som quinoa. Det viktigaste var en fin bit grillad kycklingbröst (väl kryddad), en grillad skiva av zucchini, grillad morotpinne, grillad rödlök, tomat och något annat som jag inte kommer ihåg. Plattan var mycket väl dekorerad och ganska välsmakande. Öknen var vaniljglass med kanelpulver. Min kollega betalade räkningen så jag kommer inte ihåg priserna men jag minns att det inte var dyrt alls. Jag rekommenderar denna restaurang för lunch. Min kollega berättade för mig att de tillåter kunder att ta med sitt eget vin utan att betala en korkavgift. Detta är sällsynt idag. Det enda jag såg på deras dryck-meny var fatöl (chopp) till R $ 15, 00 vilket är lite mer än det genomsnittliga priset i Rio. Stella Artois och Böhmen till R $ 12, 00.

Vi promenerade av Massa en natt i Lablon och med en sådan söt uteplats visste vi att vi var tvungna att prova det en natt (vi hade redan ätit). Vi återvände nästa natt och blev inte besvikna. Vi gick in i Massa ganska slumpmässigt men wow det var jättebra.
