A very good restaurant for sure with a lot of potential. Couple of minor issues if I was to be super critical. I would have preferred a more tasty cachaça  for the caipirinha and less salt in the octopus main. The chocolate fondant dessert was average. Excellent service that I cannot fault and an elegant feel. Beautifully presented dishes.

One of the best fish restaurants we’ve visited in Rio! We went as a couple and had an amazing experience. The service was attentive, the atmosphere inviting, and the dishes were exceptional. Personally, I found the fish outstanding. Highly recommended!

We chose this restaurant based on Google reviews, and we also liked the photos and presentation of the dishes provided by the owner. However, it felt like the place was still new and they weren’t always able to meet standards. The interior looked nice, especially the fish display fridge.

Food:
We ordered a few grilled dishes (octopus and squid) and one main course for two. They brought everything out one at a time, even though we were hoping for a different sequence since we were a couple. The grilled squid was poorly cooked. It literally wouldn't even cut with a knife, and it was weird seeing wilted greens on the plate. We couldn't eat it (but they took it off the bill). The octopus was good, though. It was soft and juicy, and the garnish of seeds and onions added texture to the dish. Then, we waited for the pasta for about 30-40 minutes, which was a long wait. The pasta was cooked well, but it was on the edge of being too salty. The noodles were cooked perfectly, and the sauce was a nice smooth consistency without any lumps.

Service:
The waiters didn’t speak English, but we managed to get by with gestures and that wasn’t a problem. The waiter even noticed we didn’t like the squid and took it off the bill. The service was good, but the food came out slowly.

Conclusion:
It’s a decent place overall. If they’re new, they’ll gain experience and become a great restaurant. Some of the food was good, and they have potential. But it’s a one-time visit for us. We didn’t feel like coming back.

Last night we dined at Ocya, a sophisticated fish restaurant nestled just meters away from the vibrant Rua Dias Ferreira. The main courses were delectable: matured fish and grilled octopus served with cold vinaigrette farinha. The wine selection was superb.

What truly elevates this restaurant are its unique and sensational starters, many featuring their matured, temperature-controlled fresh fish—a technique I had never encountered before. Ocya is truly a must-see, must-try experience.

It is one of the better seafood restaurants in town.  After reading other reviews, the consensus was to get the squid and the " lula"  start. The shrimp dish as a main was also very good and while it wasn't a fish fish, the pasta dish with bacon was also very good
Overall pretty good and we'll be back!
