These are the places to be cherished whenever you travel. These are the kinds of experiences I will always remember on my travels. A short cab ride from Copacabana we were seated right away despite a bustling crowd. Outside friends laughed and shared hugs and inside wine was flowing and seafood was being prepared. We ordered a bottle of Portuguese red wine and the Valenciana paella. It was delicious and savory with shrimp, pork, sausage, squid and veggies! But on par with food was the service. Old school. Proper etiquette yet not stuffy. Classy, classic male waiters bring out delicious hot food and bottles of wine. This is a must stop. For dessert try the crema do Papaya. A bottle of Portuguese wine, paella for two and dessert for about $79. A wonderful restaurant and great people!

Good local seafood restaurant with great service.

The salmon in honey sauce was excellent and the rice was also quite interesting.  The rest of the food (potatoes, sole fish, and vegetables) was fairly standard and unimpressive.

Given the billing and the presentation of the wait staff (who did an excellent job, by the way!), I was expecting the food to be more outstanding than it was.  The pricing is fair and the fact that the restaurant is a Leme local spot is nice though.

I’ll be back!

We went here based on reviews. Staff were very professional and attentive We found the food did not meet reviews/expectations, sardines larger than other restaurants and full of small bones despite filleting. The octopus was good but the paella was basic, mass produced rice without a good safrita.

Food: hot bread was served with butter. We ordered a few dishes on New Year’s Day including lobster, steak, mixed seafood rice, some kind of local fish. Took about 45’-1 hour for food to come out. My teenagers got impatience so we did not enjoy the food much. We went in around 12:30 so the restaurant was not busy yet. But the restaurant becomes very busy.
Food was somewhat salty for us. Octopus was not good. Lobster was overcooked in our opinion. Steak was good and large portions.
Wine: red wine did not serve cold.
Service: exceptional by an older gentleman. Very professional and he worked with a passion. We gave him extra tips afterwards. Service charge was added to the bill.
Total bill for lunch: about $170ish for 4 of us. We had a lot of left over to bring back to our hotel. Price was reasonable for food quality.

Delicious food and generous portions. We had the lenguado and the pulpo. The lenguado was very good. The pulpo was incredible - the best we've ever had. Definitely recommended and we would go out of our way to return here when in Rio.

Fantastisk mat och service! De presenterar din köttbit innan tillagning, och sedan ta fram den och servera maten på din tallrik för dig. Jag åt fisk med grönsaker och vitlökssås och den smälte i munnen och var sååå god!

Vilken stor liten oberoende restaurang. Här serveras fisk och skaldjur, men även kötträtter. Att ha beställt fisken tas med till ditt bord för godkännande innan tillagning. Måltiden var fantastisk, så fräsch.

Vi gick till denna restaurang ikväll som vi ville ha skaldjur och läsa recensioner. Restaurangen gjorde ingen besviken jag hade fiskgryta och min man hade räkor med ris. Båda systern härliga förmodligen de bästa räkorna vi ätit på ett tag.

Härlig liten restaurang med både inomhus och utomhus sittplatser. Rätterna är mycket rika och lätt kan delas. Vit dukservice, servitörer som delar upp och serverar maten vid bordet. Det är en underbar upplevelse och värt att vänta lite längre än andra restauranger eftersom varje rätt är perfekt förberedd och presenteras. Vi rekommenderade denna restaurang till andra och fick rave recensioner efter deras måltid.

Underbar färsk fisk och skaldjur väl förberedda och rimligt prissatta. Vi njöt av soppa, bläckfisk, räkor och ris. Mycket traditionell restaurang.

Mycket bra plats - är i verksamhet över 65 år. Restaurang liten men stilren. Personalen är vänlig och uppmärksam. Maten är utsökt.

Vi åt en minnesvärd Marinara Paella, med stora räkor, fisk, musslor och bläckfisk som smakade vackert. Restaurangens namn var en hyllning till Shirley Temple eftersom det är väldigt lite. Fisk och skaldjur är bra förutom restaurangens storlek och enkelhet.

God gammaldags service och kvalitet och massor av det också. . . . . stora delar. Vi hade Paella på det var fantastiskt. . . . . massor av räkor, enorma musslor och bitar av fisk. . . . . kunde ha varit i Valencia.

Riktiga servitörer! Utmärkt mat. Mycket skaldjur. BUT några val av kött. Kan dela förrätt och huvudrätt om du inte är mycket hungrig. Bara ett kvarter från avenyn. Atlantica vid Leme-stranden.

Servering av spansk mat, särskilt skaldjur, som det har gjorts i 50 år, denna plats är ett måste - besök i Rio! Färska ingredienser, tillagade på beställning och serveras med ett leende. Snabb service och billigt! Försök att äta "utan schema" - platsen är liten och blir upptagen! Du kommer att behandlas som familj och äta som royalty. Se till att gå!

Restaurangen var listad i Fodors reseguide. Så glad att vi gick till middag. Paella var utsökt och utmärkt service tillhandahölls av servitören Moura.

Denna plats rekommenderades till oss av två olika guider, och de var inte fel. Delarna är enorma, så det första rådet var att få den optioonal aptitretare som kom en två plattor, en med sardiner och en med musslor, båda lätt maritnated med lök och paprika. För entree hade vi fisken a la Shirley, som var bakad med en stor räkor, grönsaker, potatis och ett hårdkokt ägg, vilket överraskande gick mycket bra med kombinationen. Till efterrätt hade vi guava med någon form av ost, som liknar gräddeost. Enkelt och riktigt utmärkt. Något vi kommer att försöka kopiera när vi kommer hem. Tjänsten kunde inte ha varit bättre, servitören var uppmärksam och vi lät honom välja entree och gå oss genom dessertmenyn. Kunde inte ha bett om en trevligare sista måltid i Rio.

Du vet aldrig vad du kan förvänta dig när du besöker en restaurang för första gången. Priserna här kan vara dyra så du undrar om du kommer att få valuta för pengarna. Min räkor middag såg verkligen flash på tallriken och smakade bra förutom sidan tjäna av coleslaw som var mycket intetsägande. Min partner måltid presenterades också bra i en halv ananas. Tyvärr hade ananasen en rutt plats i huden och det påverkade smaken av måltiden.

Vi hade ätit på hotellet varje dag i veckan och inga problem. Sedan åkte vi till Shirley. . . . Vi båda beställde samma långuado fisk men med olika såser. En med räkor den andra med druvor. Vi delar inte. Vi är nu väldigt illa och svaga och är oroliga över att spendera de flesta 8-10 timmarna av Champions Parade i offentliga toaletter.
