Absolutely amazing experience! From walking into the restaraunt in a beautiful garden to eating outside under the string lights our experience was nothing but fantastic. The food was delicious! Hands down the best meal we had in Santiago. The restaurant is a hidden gem nestled in a residential area. The gardens and decor were beautiful and the service was some of the best. Our waitress had great recommendations and spoke great English. We had the locos and taquitos to start then each got the homemade pasta dishes (truffle and crab). The truffle was my favorite. We ended the meal with the lemon tart which was served in an original way and was absolutely delicious. This is a nicer restaurant definitely worthy of a visit for a special occasion.

Great restaurant with with beautiful gardens and an innovative spin on local favorites. The fish dishes were super fresh and delicious. The local wine selection (by the bottle is excellent). Steak tartar was the star of the show. The pastas were great too. The tiradito and the locos (abalone) - superb. Their presentation is outstanding. A chocolate desert that is a must try.

Highly overrated restaurant.
We booked the table 1 month in advance and were seated in a random dark table. Despite the food is tasty, the poor service ruins the experience. Our initially ordered Piscos never arrived. The suggested wine was definitely too warm and for the water the lady needed a reminder. We saw some tables around us getting lots of attention and us being basically ignored. This is important to understand as we planned this dinner as farewell to Santiago and were intending to spend decent money on dining and drinking.
In the end their negligence helped us saving some money - so thanks for this.

It’s a bit unfortunate as I really wanted to love the place. Read about Chef Bazan in Chefwise and really looked forward to the food. The ambience is beautiful and Santiago is gorgeous, however food is mediocre and service is subpar. The waitress served the wrong main! And the wrong coffee! She was pleasant but maybe not too focused. The other waiters are also a bit standoffish. And it’s a bit curious where is Chef Bazan because when I was at the bistro people say she is at the restaurant but when I was at the restaurant staff say she is at the bistro. Net net, great potential but lots of room for improvement

För vår sista kväll i Chile innan vi återvände till London bestämde vi oss för att unna oss en speciell kvällsmat på Ambrosia. Och vilken njutning det var, inte minst på grund av den varma och vänliga service som tillhandahålls av Jorge, vår servitör, som hjälpte oss att förstå menyalternativen och gjorde utmärkta rekommendationer om vilket vin som bäst skulle komplettera våra valda måltider. Hade alltid velat åka till Ambrosia eftersom det har ett gott rykte och vi gick i vår bröllopsdag. Förrätten var en skål med ‘rakad foie gras’ som bokstavligen var och 2 skedar mat, främst luft, för ca $ 19. 000 vilket jag anser vara överdrivet även om det är gåslever. Min huvudrätt var en pastarätt med tryffel och shiitake. Smakade konstigt nog exakt som billiga paketnudlar och svampen var smaklös. Desert var god frangípanetårta med mascarpone, men inget utöver det vanliga. Trevlig trädgård och riktigt bra service, men maten, inte värt kostnaden imo

En sådan stor lokal restaurang! Mycket god mat. Och viktigast av allt, så bra service! Vi fick springa runt med andra välkända restauranger i Santiago på grund av julafton schema - många var stängda, men tog reservationer och även återspeglade inte stängningar på sina webbplatser. Vissa stängde innan deras angivna stängningstider också. Ambrosia, å andra sidan, ringde mig den eftermiddagen, för att bekräfta att vi skulle äta där. Och vi var helt klart en av de sista gästerna där den kvällen, men personalen var uppmärksam och tålmodig, och fick oss aldrig att känna att vi var tvungna att stressa.

Rekommenderad av Ritz Carlton Ambrosia besviken inte. Vår server var både vänlig och informativ. Maten serverades i rätt tid och varm! Tyvärr tog vi en taxi från Ritz och var över debiterade $ 44 USD. ta en Uber. Så mycket bättre pris.

Min man och jag såg fram emot vår upplevelse på Ambrosia. Vi hade höga förväntningar, med tanke på att kocken är känd som den bästa kvinnliga kocken i Latinamerika och hennes restaurang är i topp 50. Tyvärr var hela kvällen en svik. Först gick vi till fel restaurang. Var medveten om att det finns två restauranger under samma ägare. Rätt framför oss fanns det ett annat par som dåligt gick till fel plats också. Detta måste hända med människor hela tiden, vad är chansen att minst två par gjorde samma misstag som oss? Jag rekommenderar att restaurangägaren lägger ut några anteckningar för bekräftade bokningar, så att människor inte gör samma misstag som oss. Vi ringde den andra restaurangen och de berättade för oss att de kan få plats 30 minuter senare från vår ursprungliga reservation (det är hur lång tid det tar att komma dit med bil). Att vi tyckte var väldigt trevligt. Saker började tyvärr gå neråt därifrån. Vi beställde 2 aptitretare - ceviche (den ena höjdpunkten i vår middag) och krokett med nötkött. Kroketten var väldigt gränsig tills jag tuggade på ett ben som nästan bröt en av mina tänder. Sedan bestämde vi oss för att beställa vin till middagen. Servitören kommer och ber om ursäkt för att sommelieren inte arbetade den kvällen men rekommenderar ett par flaskor baserat på vad vi bad om. Vi väljer en av de rekommenderade flaskorna, han kommer tillbaka 5 - 10 minuter senare och säger att han inte kunde hitta den flaskan så han tar med oss ett nytt vin. Fina kommer vi att ha det men verkligen? Tabellen bredvid oss hade exakt samma upplevelse. Vid någon tidpunkt kom huvudrätterna fram. Min man hade en överkokt, torr fisk med svamppuré. Jag fick fläskkotlet, som också var överkokt, med extra bonus - slaktsträngen var fortfarande bunden till köttet när de serverade den till mig. När jag pekade på att servitrisen tog hon genast tillbaka till köket och jag fick en nykokt portion, det var mycket bättre än den första. Min man var naturligtvis tvungen att äta ensam sin torra fisk, medan jag väntade på att min skulle kokas igen. Sedan bestämmer min man att prova tiramisu. Den plattan hade inget bra på gång. Det som normalt är mascarpone-grädde smakade supersyra och surt, det som var tänkt att vara kaffedränkta damfingrar var torra och smakade inte som kaffe (de hade kalua gel på plattan som verkligen inte räckte för att få ut kaffet smak) . Riktigt dålig efterrätt som bara påminde om tiramisu. Vid någon tidpunkt tar servitrisen en kompletterande chokladdessert från köket. Det var väldigt torrt och nästan bittert. Jag förstod inte riktigt varför de gav mig en efterrätt för att kompensera för middagen när jag klargjorde att jag inte vill ha en dessert till att börja med. Sammantaget en super nedslående upplevelse. Stämningen var mestadels bra, med undantag för det enorma hålet i taket ovanför vårt bord.
