Nice hike along road. Easy. Lots of tortoises on the way. There is an arrow at the wall that takes you up a hill to the site of an old US WW II radar installation. Nice spot for lunch

It's a wall made of loose stones with a dark history. Its a nice sight and the hike there is beautiful, we even saw giant tortoises.
It's a long hike, I recommend hiring a bike.

We spent a nice half day on a mountain bike to see the wall of tears. Multiple stops are worth your time on the 6 km road ( estero, playita , playa del amor, mirador) please note that if you rent a electric bike you are not allowed to use it on the last 4 km...so you need more time . I suggest renting a normal bicycle...

Hired a bike for $10 to ride out here. Don't be discouraged by the sand at the beginning, the road gets better (but also steeper) after about 1km. Did this as a solo female traveller and it was fine, enough other tourists on the path to feel safe plus you check in with name and accommodation when you start. Worth it for seeing giant tortoises in the wild and the two high viewpoints. I only took 500ml of water on an overcast and cool day and it wasn't enough so would recommend a minimum of 1L of water.

Super hot day.... however much water you think you need... bring more!
We got a taxi to the gate and then walked from there. Still took us 6 hours as we had to take regular rests because of the heat.
Saw lots of Tortoises and Iguanas as well as Blue Footed Boobies on the rocky shore. Many Cactus Finches, Galapagos Mockingbirds and Yellow Warblers.... watch the rocks for Lava Lizards.
Plenty of benches along the way for a shady rest.
The information at the actual wall was lacking, we would like to have known more and that was a disappointment but overall we are very glad we went.
