A place with deep history. The atmosphere, story and service were amazing however the food is not.

Started with good bread basket with 2 butters. A good start.

The tartar was ok at best. Bit under seasoned.

The dumplings were meh. You can get much better in most small restaurants in Istanbul.

The pepper steak and chicken Kiev were horrible. Way overcooked, greasy fries, and not the best sauces out there.

I loved the place soo much and love the classic dishes they have but I wish they can execute them better.

Good atmosphere. Our waiter was very polite and super helpful. However, the person at the entrance, who seemed to be the manager, was very rude. We had a stroller, and since the restaurant is on the first floor, he saw us struggling with it but didn't even bother to open the door. Even when we were leaving, he didn't bother to return our belongings. Despite asking for our stuff back, he ignored us again. So we had to go behind the desk and retrieve our items ourselves. I can't believe a Michelin star restaurant would have such bad service. This just left us feeling very disappointed.

We were so much looking forward to going to this place, but something went terribly wrong. After having starters, waiters didn’t change plates and new plates have been put on the old dirty ones.
We were party of 6 and we were all disappointed in food: 2 of us had aubergine rolls which were completely raw, herring salad was failure: no taste at all.
All main courses were brought unfortunately cold(dumplings, lamb)
Kiev chicken was incredibly dry and cold.
Besides, musician was playing the same songs while evening, which was annoying

Sadly,  it’s not level of the restaurant from the Michelin guide. Totally not worth it

The atmosphere of this restaurant is worth a visit. You do feel like you could be in a spy story in the 1930s. However, the food isn’t consistent with what you’d expect, i.e. average. And it’s not cheap, we paid some €80 each, with a local wine bottle.
