Paddington Reservoir Gardens is a historic water storage facility located in the southwestern part of Paddington. It is really beautiful!

From street level, it does not look too big. However, once you venture down the stairs, you can see just how big the old reservoir is. There are various areas of the garden to explore. Although located along busy Oxford Street, the gardens are really quiet and peaceful. There is ample shade as well as sunny spots where you can sit and relax. The gardens are a popular place for picnics.

This award winning garden is like rare jewel hidden in this busy part of the town. It’s cleverly transformed with careful planning, innovative restoration & a combination modern & historical elements. Once one is down there, u could find yourself immersed in the tranquility of this beautiful garden. One can enjoy the nature, as well as learn the history of the reservoir. Literally a hidden gem, was once an underground water tank that fed sydney, these days, a wonderful picnic area, and tranquil gardens that is out of sight from the street, during our many visits there is hardly anyone there.
