This is a special place. We stayed in April for the last few weeks of skiing. Family owned for +30 years, this is not a massive property and you'll get a chance to get to know the staff and family. Rooms are wonderful, there is not a bad view. Oberlech is the perfect location if you are focused on skiing. The menu each night is absolutely incredible. We live in SF and pay hundreds of dollars for these types of meals.

Food on the terrace is mediocre in average as best.
Apple Strudel was good from taste but like all other food and hot chocolate not hot enough just warm.
Goulash soup had no taste but quite some meet in it.

Montana deserves more than five stars, not only do they have  HEATED SEATS on the terrace for outdoor bliss but also delivering impeccable service, mouthwatering cuisine, and an ambiance that defines perfection.

One of, if not the best hotel in the area. Extremely friendly and supportive staff that only want the best for you. Excellent rooms, which were always kept clean and the food.....well that was another thing entirely.

Quiet possibly the best food I've had from Austria. If there were any change requests they were more than happy to cater and at breakfast if you can make it they can cook it.

With regards to the skiing the reception staff were more than happy to assist in booking lessons and hiring equipment if needed, ordering lift passes and recommending the best runs around.

Overall a top quality experience and definitely worth while.
