Totally loved the food. To be honest, I prefer à la carte over menu restaurants. The service is as excellent as it is in Tantris. And amazing wine list.

We brought our overseas guests to this restaurant for their first Michelin-star experience. Unfortunately, while the restaurant seems to draw inspiration from its two-star sister restaurant Tantris in terms of pricing, it fell short in service and culinary delivery.

Out of five of us, only one person was impressed and excited about their dish. One plate was served cold, and when we sent it back, it was returned with more sauce but still cold. We were told it was meant to be a “warm dish,” but it was neither warm nor properly explained. The response that “they try their best” was disappointing, especially for a Michelin-starred establishment known for its roots in French cuisine.

All of us ordered à la carte rather than the tasting menu, which may have impacted the experience, but our expectation with even a one-star restaurant is to be impressed and excited with every bite. For my wife and me, the scallops were underwhelming—we’ve had better at regular restaurants in Munich.

In terms of service, the staff was abundant but inconsistent. A simple request for an early espresso was overlooked. While not a major issue at a regular restaurant, these small details are significant at Michelin-starred establishments.

On a positive note, the ambiance was warm and inviting, with the pleasant hum of diners enjoying themselves. We also appreciated their hospitality in accommodating our family, including two young children, for dinner.

Overall, while it was a pleasant evening, the experience left us wishing we had chosen a different venue for our guests’ first Michelin experience. We hope this was an off night and that a future visit might be more reflective of the standard we expected.

We celebrated our anniversary here and they had the most lovely surprises for us at our table. Food was incredible and wine recommendations were perfect.
