I stayed at the Ashbee for several nights with my family and my husband and I were beyond pleased with our experience. The hotel staff went above and beyond for every need that arose. The front desk staff for check in, check out, food and transportation needs. The breakfast and pool bar staff always took the best care of us and our kids. Food and drinks were excellent!
We had a loft suite and standard room and both were beautifully decorated and appointed for a luxury villa stay. Always comfortable, clean and serviced without ever actually seeing the cleaning crew.
The hotel is a few minutes walking distance to all the shops and restaurants - super convenient and the best views! We will definitely come back. This was our favorite hotel of our trip to Sicily! Thank you 🙏🏼

We are just back from our stay at the Ashbee Hotel in Taormina and we are already missing  it.  We loved everything about it - our great room, beautiful grounds with stunning views, great  breakfasts  and most of all wonderful people who work there. We especially want to  mention Denise and Bruno who helped us with all our needs including our excursion and transfer booking, our very friendly and helpful barman Stefano and our wonderful  breakfast waitress Valentina.
We can't wait to go there again.

We were very excited when we planned our stay at the Ashbee, knowing it is one of the finest hotels in Taormina.  Even at $750 a night We looked forward to the luxury after staying in an Airbnb for a week in Mazzaró.

Our stay at the Ashbee was really great.  There have been some reviews stating that the staff was not responsive and that the hotel charges for every little thing. We did not find this to be true. The staff are all very helpful even when we had a leak in the bathroom.

And the breakfast on the roof was beautiful and tasty.  The custom orders for omelettes and pancakes and waffles were at no extra charge.

We spent an entire day by the pool overlooking Lento-Janni and even enjoyed the pool side bar for some cool drinks.

Our room did not have a view because it was not the most expensive, so if you'd like that you need one in the main house and not the adjacent house where we stayed.

Access through the driveway and the pedestrian walkway was at first puzzling but it's just a matter of ringing the bell and they will let you in.  This did contribute to our sense of security.

The only small annoyances, were the persistent flooding of the bathroom floor (repaired after the second call), the air conditioning turning off if the patio door was accidentally left open, something we didn't realize, street noise from the street only 15 or 20 ft from our patio through the front gate, some drilling upstairs in the morning around 9:00 a.m., and the lack of a spa.

The walk from the front gate up to the top Messina gate and via Umberto was a bit of a challenge because the weather was so hot. It was certainly easier than taking the funivia up and down every day for 10 Euros around trip which we had done for an entire week. But if it's hot and you can't hike the small incline from the hotel to the city gate you might be better off getting a hotel on the main Street.

But we recommend the Ashbee would stay there again.

Very conveniently located within walking distance to main St (shops,restaurants..)
Only 1 room will have a special water view, the rest will be inner rooms; housekeeping as expected for a hotel at this level.

I stayed for 2 nights and am deeply frustrated with how my luggage incident was handled during my recent stay. When I received my luggage, I found a bottle of wine had broken inside, soaking and staining my shirts and leather shoes. The General Manager, Claudia, said it wasn’t their responsibility since I hadn’t informed them about the bottle. After hours of conversation, they finally offered to clean the shirts but she emphasized, it is not their responsibility.

The next day, I asked the front desk to make a restaurant reservation, which they confirmed. However, when I arrived, there was no reservation under my name. Instead of apologizing, the staff member insisted it was impossible because she made the reservation herself.

The lack of accountability and dismissive attitude from a hotel of this caliber is truly disappointing. This is not what I expected from a place that prides itself on excellence. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and improves their service. Until then, I cannot recommend staying here.
