Fantastic location right on a canal around the 9 streets, very nice comfortable rooms with good amenities (robe, slippers, boxed water every day, etc.) Friendly and helpful staff. Gorgeous sitting areas with incredible art everywhere in the hotel, including the rooms. The owner has a huge and amazing art collection which has been placed all over the hotel. Cool library and bar. Excellent buffet available too. Very happy with our stay.

We recently stayed at the Ambassade Hotel for 5 nights.   The hotel staff were friendly.  The  location was walkable to multiple restaurants and shops.  We liked our canal view.   The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was surprisingly spacious for the small room size.  But, that is on me I should have paid closer attention to what 25 sq meters is to sq feet.  I read too much into  the “spacious” in the room description.  We have stayed in many hotels over the years at a similar price, but never a room as tiny as this one.   The primary reason for the four stars is the noise of the other hotel guests.  We stayed in room 53.  Our upstairs neighbors pounded around until 2 AM 3 out of 5 nights.  Needless to say we did not get much sleep.  I called down to reception, and I talked  to reception the following day, but it did not yield any results. They offered earplugs, but at this price point we should not have to wear earplugs.  Overall, the stay was most enjoyable.

A lovely hotel that exceeded our expectations. Arrived at 10 AM to store our luggage and our room was ready early,  which was a pleasure. Very nice staff with recommendations, etc. The book collection is impressive!

My fiancé and I celebrated our engagement at Ambassade in Amsterdam and had the most enjoyable time. This hotel is beautiful and located in one of the best parts of town. Our room was massive, had its own private entrance, and was right on the canal. The traditional Dutch staircase to get to the apartment was very steep and narrow but not a problem if able bodied. We were overall very pleased with our choice to stay at Ambassade and would highly recommend to others!

A great hotel - our view was great but the room was tight. Quiet street if you’re looking to be close to the action but not right in the middle of the chaos of the crowds. They have a great restaurant for breakfast and dinner. We also got a private walking tour which was excellent. Definitely an overall solid experience.
