Loved this trail! Much less crowded than most areas of the park. Skip the section that goes along the road, it’s weird and unnecessary. I went clockwise and recommend that direction.

There is a lot to see: different sections of the river, the hoodoos, the forest, the lookouts, the landscape, so many cool things!

This was a great and easy walk to accomplish. There is a trail that goes right along the river providing endless views of the rapids and falls. Be mindful there is stairs and isn’t very wheelchair accessible however there is a car park right at the end where you can view Bow Falls.

This trail along the shores of the Bow River is gorgeous. Lucky for me, an outdoor art exhibit was taking place here, which made this already beautiful spot even more wonderful.

This is one of the best hikes within the city of Banff. It's an easy and pleasant trail with plenty of artwork along the way and numerous opportunities to spot birds and wildlife.

As you walk by the river, you'll also get to see the beautiful falls. The trail itself isn’t overly crowded—just right, I’d say—but expect more people near the falls and the viewpoints.

On a sunny afternoon, our family visited downtown Banff looking for activities. The visitor center suggested a short, easy walk along the Bow River Trail. The shaded path crosses the river a few times, offering views of the falls. A few steps near the end lead to the majestic Bow Falls. This walk is perfect for a quick hour in Banff.
