Wanted to grab some grub after work and this bento spot has been on my bucket list for a minute. It was also on the way home and I was hungry so here I am.

I ordered the chicken katsu bento and the salmon in truffle soy bento. I also ordered an iced matcha latte. The bentos were soo good! I also really liked how well they were plated. I took my bentos and ate it at home. There is very little seating inside however there is a park nearby where you can sit and enjoy your bentos. As for the matcha drink, it was solid

The service here was good too. The staff is really nice and very open to answering any questions about the menu. You can call in and order or you can order inside on their iPad.

This is definitely a spot I recommend checking out if you're looking for high quality bentos. Try it out if you like. :)

Located in trendy Cow Hollow neighborhood, San Francisco.  Exceptional gourmet Japanese bentos and delicious cold matcha drinks.  I highly recommend their salmon/ikura bento over sushi rice with a scoop of potato salad and pickled vegetables.  We also tried their salmon sashimi bento, caviar/wasabi seasoning.  Salmon flake bento, which is cooked salmon over sushi rice.

Komeya no Bento specializes in Japanese bento boxes, and I visited them during their soft opening a few times. The inside is a quite small with very limited seating so keep that in mind! Most people were ordering to-go to eat at the park nearby.

This place has become my go-to spot for a simple but delicious meal for picnics. I have tried the Duck Breast Bento, Salmon in Truffle Soy Bento, Mango Fresh Milk with Matcha Foam, and Strawberry Fresh Milk with Matcha Foam.

The salmon bento is my favorite! The salmon tastes fresh and delicious glazed with the truffle oil and house made yuzu soy dressing. The bento also comes with rice, potato salad, corn, cucumbers, bean sprouts, fresh wasabi, and grilled potatoes. I do wish there were more salmon for the amount of rice, but otherwise, the portions are perfect for one person during lunch.

When I had the duck breast bento, the duck pieces were a bit on the bland side, which is not my preference. The pieces were soft, though.

Their matcha drinks are some of the best I have had in San Francisco, and my favorite is the mango matcha! I would come here just for the drinks alone!

The staff are also super friendly, but since it is their soft opening and small business, the food does take some time to be prepared.

Overall, Komeya no Bento has fresh bento boxes for a reasonable price—perfect for a quick meal or picnic! They also have some of the best matcha lattes!

My friends and I went to this place after hearing good reviews about it from other people. So glad we did because the matcha tasted nice and creamy! We all ordered the matcha latte with different levels (50-100%) of sweetness and the 75% tasted the best for me. Good balance of matcha and sweetness.

It's a pretty small place inside but there are seating available. They had such a great playlist that really sets the vibe of the place. There is a kiosk inside but you can definitely order ahead too. The workers are also very nice!

Next time, I would like to try their bentos because that is what they're known for!

pookies… if i had one last bite before i died… this would be it. the matcha is so creamy but so matcha-y (my favorites the matcha foam w strawberry milk) and the salmon is so soft 😭😭🤚 there’s not much seating but u can probably put this on the ground and i’d eat it up. the owner was so sweet and everything was so pretty.
