The steamed and baked pork buns were great and flavorful. I found the dumplings to be underwhelming and as that’s my favorite part of dim sum I was bummed by this. I am not a big fan of the roving carts as it can take awhile to get certain dishes and the price of each dish isn’t known until the very end. I also found the carts to be stressful as it was hard to understand what servers were saying due to the noise in the restaurant and a language barrier. Service was also not great and we would have to flag down servers and repeatedly ask for things like water or sauces for the table. When we sat down we were provided with a pot of tea but no waters and we weren’t even asked about drinks. There were 6 of us and with tip with each paid $26, which is a great deal for the amount we ate. It was good for the experience but I personally wouldn’t go back.

Very fancy Chinese restaurant
In our case the food was nice and tasty
The only thing we did not like it is they do not have baby changing pads or any space for it.
My husband got the pork with Pekín spice and he really enjoyed  it
I had rice with veggies  and it was really  nice

The very best dim sum in lower Manhattan. Golden unicorn has been a sought after lunch destination within my family since I can remember. It is a vast plane of tables being constantly circumvented by carts packed with the most delicious dumplings. There is always space yet never empty. The rice noodles are transcendent and the pig buns are as cute as they are delicious. Don’t let any new spot fool you, this 1996 top 5 restaurants in nyc NEVER disappoints.
