The hotel was absolutely amazing. We came with our dog, and he was greeted with lots of petting and attention. He even got a dog treat from Barry, who did a great job of welcoming us from the moment we parked and entered the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel. It is not just a place to stay overnight, but an experience on its own.

Great hotel with spectacular details and super nice staff. I do like the attention to details.

My only take, it might be noisy if your room is close to the atrium where Temple Court restaurant area as it is open area and can get loud. If you want quiet room make sure to ask for one further away atrium.

This hotel was full 5 stars. Myself and my partner could not fault this hotel from start to finish. We stayed 3 nights, the hotel was beautiful, unique and welcoming, it was clean and the staff provided a friendly and efficient service. The interior was so nice and different and my partner loved the decor and vibe. The live music and bar and restaurant areas were beautiful. Dan at front desk was super friendly and Barry the doorman amongst everyone else. The hotel is also close to so many things, we didn't get to stay long enough but when we return to NY we will 100% stay at this hotel again. You did great in every way, we couldn't fault anything, thanks for having us and definitely a solid 5 star hotel in comparison to others who brand themselves "5 star". Sincerely - Debbie

Had a fantastic experience during a one night stay in the city while passing through. Utilized the valet service, which was quicker than quoted upon departure. The room was spotless and perfectly appointed with everything you could need. The AC worked well to keep the room cool during the heat of the summer. I couldn't get enough of the signature scent that's in the soaps and shower gels. I wish I could have brought it home with me. Overall, this was a fantastic, unique 5-star experience for a quick overnight passing through. The jazz bar in the basement was a fantastic surprise.

We had an amazing experience dining here for my Mother’s 70th birthday. We came here specifically for Chef Michael’s food and it exceeded our expectations. The hotel is beautiful and the bar was lively as we walked through to find the restaurant. They have a great wine list and we started with the tuna tartare which was AMAZING. The flavor was so bright and fresh. From there we had the seafood tower (caviar and oysters were the standouts)! Amazing value. From there the asparagus pizza and rigatoni finished out our main course. The rigatoni was such a unique flavor (almost smoky) so it’s not like any ordinary rigatoni bolognese you’ll see on other menus. The service was impeccable and our server brought my mom a delicious caramel corn sundae with candles. The atmosphere was so perfect for a Saturday night in the city. Absolutely dine here!

For a private event, sliding panels afforded privacy and cut down the noise from the main dining area. The service was attentive but unobtrusive. The food had hits and some misses. The fontina cheese pizza was excellent. The sea bass entree itself was done well but the accompanying vegetables seemed overcooked and had lost their bite. The salted caramel sundae was the only real disappointment because there was way too much popcorn and nuts for the amount of ice cream.

Our local friends chose this restaurant for a quick dinner catch up to celebrate a bday. We sat at the nice large  table right at the back of the restaurant Service was friendly and attentive.

We tried the warm shrimp salad and burgers. The salad was decent but the dressing was too acidic to my tastes; the burger was okay nothing special.

Thanks to the lovely gesture and brought out a dessert plate with a candle and chocolate writing of happy birthday on the plate.

This review is for the CHALET restaurant pop up for the holidays at the Mark.  Its outside in covered chalet style add on.  Felt like you were in Alsace.great fondue the best we ever had,  delicious salad and the service was great.  We wanted cocktails our waiter, I think k his name was Stephen had to shuttle between the hotel bar and the chalet. He did an amazing job. Great winter experience

This review is for The Mark Chalet by Jean-Georges. It was a terrible dining experience.  Side note - we love (LOVE) the other Jean-Georges restaurants in nyc (ABCv, abc kitchen, abc cucina) and the inn at pound ridge.

Our first course was the onion tart. I’m pretty sure my dog could have prepared something better, and she doesn’t have thumbs. It tasted like it was a frozen tart that had defrosted and re-froze many times over. It also looked like something mass produced you might buy in the frozen section of any third tier supermarket. It cost more than $30. Two thumbs down. The “salad” was a few pieces of limp and flavorless mesclun. Fail.

The fondue was boiling within 20 seconds of being on the flame - it was way too hot - we both have burnt tongues. There was no way to reduce the flame or lift the pot. The vegetables to dip in the fondue were old, limp, and soggy. That broccoli smell you get when broccoli needs to be thrown out. The bread was so stale and some pieces were wet. The cornichons were dried-out limp. It was the opposite of delicious and delightful.

Skipped dessert to get out there as fast as possible. While we waited for the bill, the staff had trouble closing our flame and burned a hole in the table cloth. There definitely was an issue with the set-up.

We wish we could time travel backwards and not spend the first day of 2024 here. 100% inedible. 100% regret. Disappointment all around.
