Amazing Extra Dirty martinis 🍸 hats off to the bartender TBH. Was able to get a dinner reservation for a Friday (lots of cancellations because of the rain) and they moved all the tables inside. Constantine was the best server, very knowledgeable and super attentive to the table. The restaurant had pre-split all our plates and which was so helpful (3app, 2 pastas, 1main, 1 dessert)

Lovely atmosphere here includes white table cloths, fresh flowers, soft music ( often French or  bossa nova ) and interesting paintings. The service is consistently excellent! Excellent. The food is mostly good. Artichoke parmesan salad, grilled salmon. Some dishes are just okay. I’ll keep coming back.

Great brunch spot in the west village it’s really cute. They have an outdoor seating area which is nice to sit when the weather is nice. The iced cappuccino was amazing and the pancakes were also really good. They had good customer service very attentive.

A perfect brunch or dinner spot, more elevated than most places around. The best thing is to sit outside on a summer morning and watch West village life passing by. One of the best cappuccinos I had outside of italy.Italy. the service is impeccable.

My boyfriend & I recently stopped into the West Village location of Sant Ambroeus for a drink before meeting friends for a dinner reservation at Extra Virgin (next door). The service here is excellent - the bartenders took great care of us. When there was a brief delay in me getting my drink, they sent over a complimentary tasting plate of light Italian cookies. The atmosphere in here is really lovely as well - it's small, but very cozy as a result. My boyfriend got an IPA, but I tried the Talk the Talk from their cocktail menu and the fresh cucumber made it so delicious. This is a great spot, we'll be sure to return for a full sit-down meal in the future!!

Restaurangen är riktigt mysig och vacker. Servicen var mycket bra. Maten var också mycket god, men kanske inte något ”spektakulärt” med tanke på priset. Men totalt sett har vi haft besöket!

Vi gick runt i byn för att hitta denna pärla. Bra drycker, mat och service. Vi åt ute och folk - tittade. Bra värde. Utmärkt mat!

Titeln sammanfattar vårt söndagsbesök. Bolgonesen var i bästa fall medelmåttig, kanske för att det var en tjock pasta snarare än spagetti. Auberginen fick tummen upp, Servicen var långsam och servern kämpade med engelska. Köket var tillräckligt snabb men glömde sidan av Spenat som de tog 15 dollar för när menyn sa att det var 10 dollar.

Jag stannade till vid Sant Ambroeus West Village för lunch medan jag promenerade genom butikerna, fönstershopping och människor - tittar. Platsen var livlig, fullbokad med reservationer, men de vänligt inkvarterade mig eftersom jag var middag solo. 

Denna klassiska restaurang har funnits i åratal, och dess rykte föregår verkligen det. De satte mig utanför, vilket var underbart, så att jag kunde njuta av den soliga dagen och titta på förbipasserande. Jag började med den gröna salladen, som var enkel men precis vad jag ville ha — fräsch och god. 

Jag måste nämna att även om jag var väldigt ledigt klädd efter att ha gått runt hela dagen, så var alla andra som åt lunch klädda till niorna och såg underbara ut. Trots min avslappnade klädsel kände jag mig helt bekväm, och personalen behandlade mig med samma värme och uppmärksamhet. 

För mitt huvud valde jag Linguine Alle Vongole. De tog fram lite bröd och olivolja till att börja med, och jag måste säga att brödet var att dö för, och olivoljan var utmärkt — man kunde se att den var av hög kvalitet — italiensk olja. Tyvärr var pastan lite av en besvikelse. Den var medelmåttig i smaken, och presentationen var udda, med musslorna redan borttagna från sina skal, vilket gör att rätten ser mindre tilltalande ut. 

Som sagt, personalen och servitörerna var fantastisk — så vänlig och uppmärksam. Jag blev dock inte avskräckt, för en annan dag beställde jag Spaghetti al Pomodoro, och det var fantastiskt! Ingrediensernas enkelhet och kvalitet fick smakerna att skina. 

Jag skulle definitivt återvända till någon av sina platser och rekommendera dem för en klassisk, väl - rundade matupplevelse.

Jag ägnar mycket tid åt att undersöka var jag ska äta och jag trodde att jag hade något gott här. Jag hade fel. Kvaliteten på maten försämrades bara av servicenivån. 

Till kaffet hade jag begärt grädde, som inte togs med. Inga problem, det är inget stort bekymmer. Chefen som jag bad om grädde, som hade tagit med kaffet, sa naturligtvis. Han fortsatte sedan med att köpa sin egen frukost och sätta sig i baren för att äta den! Jag frågade sedan en av de andra servrarna som inte heller tog med den. Detta skulle återigen vara ok, men kaffet var odrickbart. Det var helt fruktansvärt. 

Återigen, detta skulle vara bra, men för den undermåliga standarden på maten, äggen, $ 16 sidan av bacon, rostat bröd. Jag ska säga att pannkakorna var ganska goda. Sammantaget skulle jag inte rekommendera.

Jag gick för NYC restaurangveckan, personalen var mycket vänlig och omtänksam, mat och dryck var mycket bra och platsen är mycket mysig, jag rekommenderar det!

Det fanns en tid i NY för inte så länge sedan när de flesta restaurangerna i västra byn var som Sant Ambroeus: diskret, intimt, välskött, god mat, rimligt prissatt. Sant Ambroeus är en av de sista, och det är en behandling. Super charmig. Utmärkt meny, bra service. Du vet nästan inte att du är i NY och det är ett kompliment.

Tyvärr har sett många tomma bord när jag fick höra att restaurangen var fullbokad. Se till att insistera på att få ett bord.

Vissa kanske kan fokusera på det stora kaffe & nibbles (var det frukosttid). Jag hittade elakheten utmanande att ignorera. Var han verkligen italiensk?

Jag älskar Sant Ambreous för sin plats i West Village, för det är uppmärksamhet på färsk och utsökt mat, och service och personal. Medan det inte är den billigaste italienska i stan, är kockteamet alltid innovativt och lägger till nya och säsongsbetonade rätter. Det är inte lika gammalt. Det är en av de bästa Cacio Pepe i NYC. Det är charmigt inuti eller ut och bra till lunch eller middag. Dessutom får jag ta med min servicepop utan trakasserier och frågor. Jag är där ofta och har varat längre än de flesta av cheferna!
