Wow, this might be my favorite meal of the year! We chose this place for our last dinner in Japan and made a reservation made in advance. It is Kaiseki style with a set menu. All dishes are elaborately prepared and presented, with a focus on seasonal eating and well-sourced ingredients. Every single course felt special, and watching them carefully prepare it all at the counter as a plus. My wife, who is normally very picky with fish tasting fishy etc. ate and enjoyed every piece of fish they served. The plates, glassware, and even tea bowls (for matcha at the end of the dinner) are all exceptionally well-chosen and many do not match, so it gives each drink a sense of uniqueness which adds charm to the experience. They have a long drink list (although I don’t believe it’s written down), and you can ask the staff for recommendations for pairings or based on your own taste preferences. Staff was welcoming and friendly, and the service was extremely detailed. Please note that the staff does not speak much English (we got by with some basic Japanese) and the restaurant is cash only.

One of the best dining experiences of my life! The food was absolutely outstanding – every dish was fresh, perfectly prepared, and a delight for the senses. The staff was incredibly warm and welcoming, and even though their English wasn’t perfect, they went above and beyond to make us feel at home and ensure a memorable experience. The atmosphere in the restaurant was cozy and inviting. I highly recommend this place to anyone who appreciates amazing food and excellent service. Thank you for this wonderful experience!

季節感をしっかり押さえたお食事。素材をいかしつつ、も趣向を凝らしたお料理。
お酒のバリエーションも豊富。
個室は、小綺麗に設えられステキですが、少々音が反響し、隣室の会話が臨場感もって聞こえてしまうのが玉に瑕。

Meals with a strong sense of the season. Dishes that make the most of the ingredients and are elaborately designed.
There is also a wide variety of alcoholic beverages.
The private rooms are nice and clean, but the only drawback is that the sound echoes a little and you can hear conversations in the next room with a sense of realism.

3回目の訪問です。7月は2週間限定ですが和歌山のノコギリガザミが食べれます。ワタリガニの一種でとても爪が大きく美味しいです。身は栗の風味がしました。和歌山の海辺の近くの池で捕れたものですが大将曰く日本で一番大きい部類だそうです。とても希少なものを仕入れするこのお店はとても感心します。それ以外の料理も素材の仕入れに力を入れてどの素材の話も詳しく解説してくれる大将の知識には頭が上がりません。今回も美味しいお酒をたっぷりと楽しみました。お酒も希少なものを揃え感心します。器やグラスもどれも美しいものばかりで楽しませてくれます。

This is my third visit. For only two weeks in July, you can eat Wakayama's sawfish. It is a type of blue crab with very large claws and is delicious. The flesh had a chestnut flavor. It was caught in a pond near the seaside in Wakayama, and according to the general, it is one of the largest in Japan. I'm very impressed with this store, which stocks very rare items. For other dishes, the chef puts a lot of effort into sourcing ingredients and explains in detail about each ingredient, and I am impressed by his knowledge. Once again, we enjoyed lots of delicious drinks. I'm impressed by the selection of rare alcoholic beverages. All the vessels and glasses are beautiful and will delight you.
