We were lucky to get a last minute reservation and enjoyed the dinner omakase set menu. Every single ingredient was super fresh, delicious and presented with care. The uni was the best we’ve had and the menu also included abalone. It was a wonderful and well priced experience. Would definitely recommend it.

Our first omakase experience in Japan. We enjoyed most of the courses. I was disappointed that no substitutions were allowed for items I knew I did not like (it is customary in the U.S.) and the chef made me feel bad about asking. The chef does not speak much English so for the most part we had no idea what we were eating. Maybe we are very spoiled with wonderful omakase in New York city, maybe I expected too much, but this experience was slightly underwhelming. The best part was very sweet and lovely waitress that softened the stern atmosphere created by the chef.

Unbelievable experience! We loved it.
The chef and the waitress were incredibly nice and friendly, and spoke very well English. Best sake we had too (Ubusuna). Highly recommend the place if you like raw fish and shellfish / omakase experience.

Outstanding omakase experience by Chef Ikuta. Each dish was a display of expert craftsmanship and tasted amazing.

The venue had a clean but warm aesthetic, and the waitress paid careful attention to serving us.

I could see the effort chef Ikuta makes in trying to explain the dishes despite not speaking english. The sardines were a highlight for me.

I would highly recommend and will return next time we are in Shinjuku.
