Had dinner here while visiting London. The view from being by the water was beautiful. I had a jerk sampler dish with chicken and lamb chops. It was soooo good, specially the lamb chops. I also had the lobster and crawfish Mac and cheese which was also quite delicious. The Music, service, and vibes were nice. While the her chicken didn't taste like it was traditionally smoked in a barrel drum, it was still delicious. I also had a sorrel blend drink which was also good.

Cottons was pretty amazing. The location was just as splendid as the food. If you get a chance to swing by order the oxtails and a nice cocktail to finish it off with. The waiter was new but nice. The parking is limited so it's better to Uber or catch the train if you don't mind walking.

First time at cottons and we loved it! Staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgable and the food came quickly and was delicious. The restaurant was clean and the decor and atmosphere were great. Thanks for a great evening!

Located in a wonderful location along the Thames by St Georges Wharf, Cottons Rhum Shack has brought the taste of the Caribbean to another part of London with already 3 other restaurants in Camden, Shoreditch and Notting Hill.

Upon arrival the tables and chairs outside were all decked out with Caribbean decor and I immediately thought I'd jumped country to the Caribbean! with great views along the Thames on these long summer nights and for the not so long summer nights there is plenty of spacious seating inside still giving you that feeling you are in the Caribbean.

Our Evening consisted of a Rum masterclass hosted by Barry their mixologist and this was sampling some amazing Rums with some history and stories behind them:-

Plantation, A 5 year old Barbados, Angostura 1919 from Trinidad and El Dorado Rum from Guyana plus we got to sample a few more Rums than normal as he could see we were all enjoying ourselves.

My experience tasting their Caribbean food was hot and spicy and not what I expected to be like and for me I loved the food, I was totally blown away from what I imagined it would be like, as I have never tasted any Caribbean food before and if I ever get the opportunity again I think i'll head back to Cottons to try other food items from their menu.

It's not just Rum drinks they do at Cottons, and if you fancy a regular Cocktail or a Mocktail then they can probably make any drink you like for you as their bar was pretty impressive and stocked with many bottles.

So if your in the Caribbean party mood all I can say is check out your local Cottons, http://cottons-restaurant.co.uk/ you won't be disappointed you'll soon be dancing in the street's after like the Notting Hill carnival.

Terrible service I walked 20 minutes to get there after a long flight and after checking into my hotel, decided I wanted some good Jamaican food. I just sat there alone in the dining room no water, no service until I got up and asked for someone to take my order. The hostess and waitress were in the middle of chatting up two men. One came over to take my order but never brought the water. I just walked out. Found another restaurant who sat me promptly and brought water and champagne.

Wow!! Talk about a flavor Party! This place is such a vibe. You almost forget that you're in London. The service was great, music was fitting & the drinks were a vacation in a glass.  Kudos to the bartender! She knows how too make some cocktails.  The food was delicious!! We literally ordered second servings. We rolled each other out of there we were so stuffed but in a good way. Great for casual dining or a date. It doesn't matter because it's good food.

Amazing food and staff. It is conveniently located by a tube station. For starters I had the ackee and saltfish dumplings and my meal the seabass.

Food was just okay and the service was not good at all. They left us at the table without drinks the whole time, after the initial delivery. Then to top it off, we tried to pay with our american cards and they claimed that they only took European cards with chip and pin and that it was posted on the door. What WAS posted on the side of the door was that they took cards with pin and chip (which our american debit cards have), but the waiter said that they would only accept European ones. Luckily we had some pounds to pay, but it was quite an insulting experience. We all felt they should have posted a better "we don't take americans here" sign.

Food was great - service was very good too.  Having been to Jamaica recently, I wasn't expecting much, but the jerk was very authentic.  Meats were very well prepared - pork and chicken were slow cooked but not dried out.  Rice and peas were just ok, but not much you can really do there.  If I had one complaint it would be the portion size vs price.  Our group had eaten at a Korean restaurant the night before and for almost the same price got twice the amount of food.  Some additional beers on draught would be nice too.

Was quite disappointed.
Positives: food was ok, music was great, staff is nice, good view of river.
On the down part...
Service was extremely slow - the food took a while but thats no problem, kitchens can get backed up. What took the longest was taking our order, getting a desert menu, and paying the bill. We waited 30min to pay the bill (after they had dropped it off). I think our waiters were the owners or managers as they seemed flustered by a non busy service. I would suggest getting normal trained waiters!
As for the food, it was pretty good but our portions were very small. My 19 pound curry shrimp had maybe 6 shrimps and a few veggies, along with a bowl of tasteless rice. My friend's "pork chops" came with one small skinny pork chop. My friend's jerk chicken on the other hand was giant so I thankfully ate some if hers to not be hungry.
Then the bathroom. There was literally crap on the seat of one of the toilets. I went to another to discover there was no toilet paper. Pull pants up, hobble over to next stall, no toilet paper there either. I then realize there are toilet paper rolls place randomly around the toilet, but not actually inside the actual toilets in the paper holder.
At the end of the day, hire real servers, maybe hire someone to clean the toilets here and there, and give people bigger portions please!
