Heard a lot about this establishment warm welcome lovely staff and this continued throughout food was lovely scallops steak and cheese selection for dessert. Wine exceptional !

I was lucky enough to be taken here by Google for an event recently and I have to say it was really impressive.  We had a set menu, in a private room, so I can’t really comment on value, but I can say that both the fish (cod) and beef were cooked to perfection. Also impressive was the brown bread! And the service throughout the evening was great.

Attended a fantastic evening in the Polo room here recently. A small, well crafted menu that suited both vegetarians and meat eaters alike. The food was amazing, the service was fabulous and some discreet personal touches were much enjoyed (celebrating anniversaries and that sort of thing).

I've not eaten here for many years but it was stunning. It's truly elegant and a lovely venue to hire for a special occasion.

Unsurprisingly the food was great. For a fancypants establishment, I was expecting smaller portions but it was decent. We we both very happy with each course in the Christmas set menu. The staff were great, friendly and we never had to wait long for their attention. This restaurant seems to be medium-small in terms of seats & tables, so I imagine reserving a table is essential. While I was very happy with the meal, I'm not sure I'd be a return customer as the price is very high (98e for the 2023 Christmas set menu, plus 15e for steak supplement).

23May2024 - Dinner

Our Group of 22 arrived Dublin from Cork in the evening. With the heavy after office hour traffic, we arrived at the One Pico restaurant about 25 minutes late for our reservations.

Nevertheless, the Captain was gracious in welcoming us and led us to our private room.

We were actually quite surprised that the main entrance to the restaurant was along a dingy alley. The interior was simple. But the decor of the private room wasn’t what we had expected it to be.

The service staff was very polite and patient, he took great care in taking the orders of each and every member of our group.

My starter of Grilled Mackerel, Daikon with Truffle Ponzu was refreshing; however I felt the ponzu sauce somewhat overpowered the truffle. Couldn’t taste the truffle at all.

The Main Course of Slaney Valley Lamb Rump was nicely done and tender to the bite. Some of us thought that the Aubergine was slightly burnt. Overall the lamb tasted good.

Our dessert of Strawberry Mousse was good after we had the accompanied Milk Sorbet. Good combination.

Must say the restaurant served good quality tea. And we ended the evening with a delightful Petit Four.
