Nestled in the charming Sicilian Avenue in the heart of London, this Italian restaurant offers a delightful escape into authentic Italian cuisine amidst a setting that echoes European elegance. The street itself, designed with classical Italian features and ornate stone facades, sets a picturesque scene that transports visitors to a quaint European piazza. Known for its inviting atmosphere and culinary excellence, this spot is a must-visit for food lovers seeking genuine Italian flavors in a historic setting.

Sicilian Avenue is a strange one these days. You kind of fall upon it when going through Holborn when you least expect it.
Designed by R J Worley in 1910 with classical Italian features, it was apparently one of the earliest pavement cafe areas in London. It runs diagonally across from Bloomsbury Way to Southampton Row, just north of Holborn tube station. The shops and eateries in here aren't much to write home about now, sadly. Picture Spaghetti House, camera shops, a hairdresser and some dinky cafes.
Actually the charm of this place is the beautiful architecture with ornate carved stone facades, and original convex shop fronts trimmed weith dark wood.
What I'd love to see in the future is for all the eateries and shops replaced with independant retailers.

A beautiful not well known spot in London, just over a 100 years old. It was designed as a pedestrianized area to give a Parisian or European feel, with shops and cafe's. Definitely a place to check out in the summer having a coffee on the outside tables of it's many cafés.
