Absolutely phenomenal food.  My husband is Cantonese and he loved it.   Except for the ribs everything was out of this world.

Some of the best Sichuan food I've had, comparing with new York city. Service is attentive, restaurant is clean and comfortable, food comes out fast and delicous! We came on a Monday night and there was no wait. We ordered for 2 people. Left feeling full and satisfied but not bloated. Food isn't overly greasy, just fresh and yummy.

Popo's fried fish fillet: 10/5. Sooo good. Fried and battered with chili dry rub. Amazing.

Popo's seasonal stor fried pak choy: 4/5, standard good vegetable stir fry, just the right serving size.

Biang biang noodles with beef: 5/5. Awesome noodles. Needed a bit more chili oil. Chili oil was amazing.

Complimentary chili oil if you ask for it: 10/5. Some of the best chili oil I've ever had! Smokey, full of flavor and numbing effect.

Steamed rice £3 not included with main dishes.  This would be a minus star for me. Should be standard with any legit Asian restaurant. But it was good and generous for a single serving, at least.

Hope to come back sometime...

Great authentic Chinese food in Earle's Court! Came on a cold rainy night for dinner and everything was so comforting. We got the stir fried beef dish, green beans, egg fried rice and beef soup - everything was tasty and came out quickly. We also had one hot and sour soup that was bad (too much pepper) and we complained and they took it off the bill which was nice. The inside is nice and clean, plenty of seating. Highly recommend making reservations on a Friday or Saturday night as it gets packed.

Fantastic food!  We ordered quite a selection of menu items.  Traditional fragrant chicken was good but a little too spicy for us.  The wontons in chili oil were also spicy but very good.  The vegetarian spring roll (fried) were small in comparison to what we see in the states, but surprisingly good (be sure to open delivery bag and let the steam out).  Sichuan burger and Stir fried egg noodle with chicken were quite good. Note- neither are very saucy.  So if you're expecting something along that line, neither of these would be ideal.  We thoroughly enjoyed both though as we don't see these on menus (back home).  The Dan Dan Noodles with Minced Pork and stir fried broccoli were fantastic. Takeout sizes were perfect and we still had some leftovers of most of the dishes.  Note- steamed rice does not automatically come with dishes.  It has to be ordered as a side.

The service was very friendly. The wontons in chili oil were very good. Unfortunately the meat for the stir fry beef with esparagas was so fatty it was not edible.

I'd move to London just to eat here every week! Seriously, it's been so long since I've had delicious, authentic Sichuan-style cuisine and this was perfect. It's also conveniently located right across from Stamford Bridge, so you can have a bite before a game. Service was also quick and friendly.
I would recommend ordering something with the handmade noodles... they're amazing! I love a good rice noodle, but my bf ordered the same thing as me except with the handmade noodles and I think those were the perfect option.

We loved the food and the service here. The folks are from Sichuan and other parts of China - speak Mandarin and offer great recommendations. Lots of locals here! We loved the shrimp and the fish fillet so delicious.

Sichuan popo deserves more recognition because the food here is authentic and delicious. I'm from Flushing, New York, and I grew up eating all kinds of Chinese food- especially Sichuan/Szechuan food. This place is a wonder. All the staff are Chinese, polite, and extremely accommodating.

The Biang Biang beef noodles were the highlight. The noodles were perfectly cooked, seasoned, and spiced. The beef melts in my mouth. Simply amazing *chefs kiss*. The mapo tofu was spicy, flavorful, and soft. The salt and pepper squid were seasoned well, though some pieces were larger than others. The rice was fluffy and fragrant. The spicy wontons were tender, juicy and flavorful. And lastly, the fish was spicy, tender, and fresh.

As we enjoyed our meal, it was a delight to watch the community with their dogs stop by the front of the shop to drink water left behind by staff. Adorable
