This is probably the best restaurant I have been to in recent times! The bread came warm and with an aromatised butter (truffle and olives). Then the crocodile salad, which was very exquisite, as it was the first time I tried crocodile. It tasted different but good. The kangaroo tartare was amazing! The meat was so good! Then the main dishes. It’s hard to decide which one was the best. The corvina was divinal! The crusty peel and the combination with the peas purée… Also, the Tom Yum chicken, with a great rice and a distinct flavour that made it fantastic. Moreover, the kangaroo steak was incredible, so tender and with very well cooked vegetables. Who would tell that kangaroo was this good! Finally, the pork belly, which was absolutely delicious. I recommend all the dishes, it will be hard not love them. To end, the chocolate and salty caramel tart, which is apparently an adaptation of the chef’s signature dessert. It was the best way to end this meal! I totally loved it! Overall, this is an incredible opportunity to try different dishes and meats! The experience was awesome, I totally recommend this place! It’s not expensive considering the current prices of restaurant and it’s totally worth it! The waiter was also super nice!

My partner and I decided to try Downunder based on online reviews and the enticing menu selections. The food was absolutely delicious! Our top recommendations include the Crocodile Asian salad, the 36H pork and the Sticky Date pudding. Service was nothing short of excellent - our waiter for the night was very knowledgeable and provided detailed information about the each dish and the recommended wine pairings. At the end of our meal, we were pleasantly surprised to meet the Chef, Justin Jennings, who made time to have a quick chat and personally thank us for stopping by. This made our visit even more special. We strongly recommend visiting Downunder!

The food was absolutely fantastic!! Next time we are in Lisbon, we will definitely go back and try the taster menu. Chef came out to greet diners, ensuring everyone was happy and enjoying his food. He even brought a little chocolate cake with a candle to wish my niece a happy birthday. This made our experience here even more extraordinary!

No regrets. Well-earned Michelin star to the chef. The food was fresh, and the  fusion worked well. Value for money. Highly recommend the non-traditional crocodile and Kangaroo dishes. If you, like myself, enjoy spicy food, please ask for the house sambal belachan. Unfortunately, I asked the chef minutes too late. The chef  was warm and friendly . I'm definitely going back soon. Wish the wish prices were reasonable, though. Do try them.

We decided to celebrate our 24th wedding anniversary at “DOWUNDER and it turned out it was a great choice in every aspect! We met this totally cool guy, Justin Jennings, who thanked us for our presence and asked us if everything was great…we tasted the 8 courses menu along with wine pairing and it was absolutely amazing
