This was the highlight of our trip to Europe. Fabio and Elsie were a delight. The chefs were amazing.
I found out last minute that I had a new allergy to seafood and they rearranged the menu to accompany my needs. My husband, sister, and I will come back the next chance we get and we will continue to praise CLOS for their attention to detail, hospitality, and ingenuity with flavor.
If you’re considering an experience here, please do it. You will be so glad that you did.

Wow!  You must visit this Michelin Star restaurant when you come to Madrid.
We were celebrating my husbands 60th Birthday so it was a very special occasion.
The food was sublime we chose the A la Carte menu - each and every dish was presented with passion and pride - it was quite simply ‘art on a plate’ full of flavour and attention to detail.
Special thanks to Kevin and Nancy for your warm welcome and exemplary service throughout.
Just when we thought the evening couldn’t get any better you surpassed our expectations and presented my husband with the most exquisite birthday dessert - the whole evening will now become one of our fondest memories.

Lunch on a sunny and pleasant Saturday at the Clos Madrid restaurant. The restaurant has 1 Michelin star, about which I read many good comments and at a fair price considering the quality of the aforementioned restaurant.
9-course meal for 124 EURO (not including the cost of the wine of course).
The restaurant looks modest, the decor is quiet, refined and elegant, it doesn't try and pretend to be flashy.
There is a sommelier on site, super helpful and professional.
We chose a wine from New Zealand, a delicious, perfumed and wonderful HUNTER'S Sauvignon Blanc dry white wine.
I loved the homemade sourdough bread and brioche with oregano, thyme and anise and four types of butter that looked like a painter's palette: tomato butter, Jamaican black sea salt pepper butter, black olive butter and smoked butter which I liked best. I also loved - Egg, seasonal mushrooms and celery ball puree, Good presentation and taste worthy of the Michelin star.
Mix mushrooms with a poached egg, with a slight poke of a fork all the yolk drips over all the mushrooms. Earthy, umami flavors.
Wild sea bass, cauliflower and seaweed - the fish is cooked to perfection, fresh, white and juicy.
Chocolate and almond millefeuille - A chocolate dessert with truffle mushroom carvings on top was an interesting and tasty combination combining sweetness and saltiness at the same time. Then a box of surprises arrived with chocolate desserts, small and disgusting in taste. Bites, colors, textures - it's great!
A thoroughly enjoyable visit to Clos, it was a good and well deserved meal. Overall, the dining experience met the high standards expected from a Michelin star restaurant, especially the main courses and desserts.
Aesthetic looking dishes that combine techniques, textures, colors and flavors that blend together and create a magical symphony of pleasure and not just visual.
Everything flowed pleasantly and politely as befits a star restaurant, from the atmosphere to the attentive sommelier and the rest of the staff.
Friendly, formal and elegant service at the same time.

Me and my wife jokingly made a bet about 10
Months ago and the loser would pay for a Michelin star meal. I lost the bet and when we booked our flight tickets ro Spain I found this little restaurant in a list.
Booked for lunch because it’s more affordable.

We had such a good meal!! No hit and miss for me although my wife found the rice that cones with the pigeon a bit too salty for her (i guess that what the reduction sauce brings with it).

We did the wine pairing too and most if then were good (I was expecting more Spanish wines, but that’s me).

Memorable dishes:
- the first “cappuccino” soup was something very interesting. Also served in a Nespresso cup
- the 4 types of butter were awesome. The smokey one was my favourite.
- the fish was very simple but flavourful
- venison could have been mistaken for beef, very good texture
- tuna tartare was very good but I think I had better
- the cider accompanying the dessert at the end was an interesting one, I didn’t guess the fruit

We left full and happy!

Booked at short notice due to this being one of very few starred places that are open on a Monday. Wonderful treat! The tasting menu is what I’d recommend and, if you like wine, take the wine pairing: impeccable and with some real nice finds! An ambitious kitchen with a friendly, knowledgeable and unpretentious front of house. It’s a great combo!
