We had a lovely afternoon tea here at The Dome today. Booked at short notice yesterday. The atmosphere was lovely and the building itself is beautiful. The food was beautifully presented and tasted lovely, we both had the vegetarian option. It was a birthday surprise for a friend and I’d put this on the reservation form so when the food came out there was a “happy birthday” chocolate and a candle on one of the cakes. Staff were absolutely lovely and couldn’t have been more friendly or helpful. We both agree that we would definitely recommend The Dome and will most certainly go back again.

This place is magnificent! We booked a reservation well in advanced and were sat upon arrival. The hostess was adorable and inviting. Upon sitting, we were greeted by a very kind server, Cullin. He explained the Tea experience and made excellent recommendations. I’m a big fan of his favorite, Rooibos. Orange and cranberry Scones with clotted cream and jam were delectable. The bacon sandwich and sausage roll were a savory delight. Everything was delicious. I topped my experience with a glass of bubbly! The entire building was glimmering with holiday cheer. The best holiday experience. Be sure to book ahead. You won’t be disappointed.

First time visiting the Dome and wanted to see what the inside was like at Christmas. First impressions are that it is beautiful, especially at Christmas. The lobby smells of cinnamon and the security guards and front of house are great. Our server was Juliette, she was exceptional very professional, paid attention to detail and all round a good server. Some of the others weren't as good, for instance, the small attention to detail, like ensuring plates with the logo were presented the correct way up. The food was good but again nothing spectacular. The hummus starter was a little too acidic and could have done with being a smaller portion. The cheese board needed some more care and attention as some were dried out, this was rectified very quickly but as its also an additional supplement it shouldn't happen. The portion sizes were very large, the cheese pieces could have been half the size but more looked after and it would have been worth the money. Overall, I'm glad I've been, but I'm not sure I'd rush back. It feels a little like a really nice upmarket establishment that has lost a little care due to popularity, which is a shame.

I made our Christmas reservation in August and it was definitely worth it. I am not sure if we will go again as it is obviously an expensive restaurant but visiting once is a must! It is beautiful ! Food was delicious too. Wasn’t expecting anything less. For 2 people we paid around £165 . This included a 3 set menu and 2 cocktails + 10% service charge required by the restaurant.
