We stayed here for just two nights while on our honeymoon, but we wished we had stayed longer. This is the nicest hotel in Catania. Not only were the rooms beautiful (including a jacuzzi tub!), but the employees were very nice and accommodating. Upon arriving, we learned of the interesting history of the hotel. We had an incredible multi-course dinner at the restaurant, Acqualavica. The location is perfect - just outside the main square. I would stay here again if I were ever to return to Catania, and I would recommend that anyone visiting should stay here.

Everything about Bastiò is excellent! The rooms are wonderful, it’s the most comfortable I have ever been in a hotel. Breakfast was delicious, and the hotel restaurant is excellent as well. The staff is also very kind, welcoming, and helpful. Also the architecture and history of the building is very unique. They have preserved the ancient characteristics of the structure very tastefully, while also renovating it to be very modern and luxurious. Bastiò is much more than a place to sleep - staying here is an experience in and of itself. I cannot recommend enough that you stay here while visiting Catania.

We recently stayed at Hotel Bastiò Suites for three nights during a family trip to Catania, and it was an incredible experience. The rooms were spacious, modern, and impeccably clean, offering a unique blend of comfort and style. The staff truly made our stay special—Celso and Victoria were absolutely outstanding, going above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. We also loved the daily breakfast, which was both delicious and varied. The team was extremely helpful in organizing transfers and calling taxis, making our transportation effortless.

The hotel’s location couldn’t have been better, right by the bustling fish market and lively food stalls, with the extended market popping up on weekends. Despite being in the heart of the city, our rooms were peaceful and quiet, allowing us to relax after a busy day exploring. We highly recommend Hotel Bastiò Suites for anyone visiting Catania—it was an amazing experience, and we can’t thank the team enough for their hospitality!

Great location . Quiet yet central. The building itself a great combination of historic monuments and modernity . Wonderful staff who take care of guests at the highest level . Delicious breakfast , beautiful and peaceful terrace where you can relax , very good location to the very centre is 2 minutes walk .

Stayed just for 1 night. Nice hotel. Very quiet inside. Close to the action. Area is a little bit "gritty" so the hotel is an unusual addition to the area but nice to be close to the Duomo. About 20 min walk from Catania centrale station and 15 mins by car to airport. Room large and bed super comfortable. Little terrace that looked onto street. Really like the breakfast. Note other reviews have suggested breakfast could be bigger. I don't think so. I think it has everything you would need. Manager Celso very friendly, greeted us when we arrived and helped us with our bags  and we stayed in touch prior to our arrival with WhatsApp. Hammam was nice to try. Only criticism is that the usb port by bedside wasn't working and minimal plug points for charging devices in useful locations. If I was in Catania again I probably would stay again.
