We loved the place. It was super crowded on Friday night. Food was delicious, very rich flavours, unusual combinations, artistic presentation! Service was great. I'd definitely return to try other dishes, but next time I'd stay on the first floor since it was very noisy upstairs.
To my surprise, 80% of the visitors were English speaking.

Very smart Mexican restaurant. Outstanding service, very well presented food and a wide drinks menu. Excellent value at approx US$45 per head Inc drinks. Plenty of options across meat, fish and veg throughout the menu. Recommend anything with the Mole sauce and the roasted Cauliflower. Fish tacos starter were to die for. Can’t wait to come back. This place is a bit more high end but don't let that deter you from coming here. The atmosphere is loud and very socially oriented. The protons are large and everything we had was delicious. We went on a Saturday evening at 7:30 with reservations made just the day before, online. There was no wait and the tables were pretty full but even as a walk in, I do not think you would have to wait very long. The waiter was quick and very friendly. Our drinks and food came out very quickly. For around 1400 mxn we were able to both get drinks, a shared appetizer, and a meal each. We were both extremely full at the end of dinner, unable to finish everything. I would recommend sharing an entree if you get an appetizer and are thinking about dessert. I would absolutely come back for another dinner here.

This restaurant was recommended by our AirBnb host and is only several minutes from the apartment. It genuinely exceeded our expectations by a big margin. We dined at Contramar and Maximo the previous two days. While La Capital is not as well know as the other two, it certainly rivals them in both food and service. Everything we ordered, five appetizers and three main course, were all excellent in taste, creativity, and presentation. Our server (so sorry I didn’t get his name) was very attentive, friendly, and accommodating, making us feel so relaxed and welcome. The dishes were served at the perfect pace and order, allowing our taste buds and appetite to gradually open up. I noticed that restaurant food in CDMX in gey is much less salty than in the US and desserts less sugary; La Capital is no exception. The well balanced seasoning highlights the many layers of flavor of various ingredients, making each bite a sensation. And the presentation is so visually pleasant that it adds another dimension to the whole experience. All in all, it was an amazing dinner that I will keep recalling with my family.

Fabulous meal here. Great vibe and looked after very well by our server. Still thinking about those shrimp tacos!
Was recommended the chicken for main which was lovely but massive. They kindly packaged up for us to take away.
