Talvo is a unique restaurant with the ambience of a luxury restaurant build into an old mountain hut. The Dalsass family welcomes every guest personally and even personally recommended the wines for us. The food combined the Alps with Mediterranean perfectly and the entire experience has been amazing.

The wine selection is stunning and beyond the normal standard of a1 Star restaurant. The service is on point and always adequate.

As a cigar smoker I also enjoyed the little extra room for cigar smokers without molesting other guests – brilliant and absolutely recommended!

Restaurant Talvo, located in a historic 1658 farmhouse in Champfèr, Switzerland, has a rich history of hosting notable figures and offering exceptional cuisine.

Niché au cœur de Champfèr en Suisse, le Restaurant Talvo possède une histoire riche et captivante qui remonte à plusieurs siècles. Son bâtiment emblématique, construit en 1960, était initialement une ferme traditionnelle suisse, incarnant le charme rustique et l'héritage agricole de la région.

Au fil des années, ce bâtiment a joué un rôle essentiel dans la communauté locale, servant d'école jusqu'en 1887. Ce lien profond avec l'histoire éducative de la région confère au lieu une atmosphère unique, mêlant traditions et convivialité.

une évolution vers la gastronomie de prestige

Dans les années 1990, le restaurant a connu une nouvelle ère sous la direction de Roland et Brigitte Jöhri, qui l'ont transformé en un établissement de renom appelé Jöhri's Talvo. La qualité de la cuisine n'a cessé de s'améliorer, culminant en 2000 lorsque le chef Götz Rothacker a obtenu deux étoiles Michelin, attestant de l'excellence gastronomique du lieu.
