Have amazing stay in Castello Banfi.  The castle itself us stunning with great history that enhance the whole experience.  We enjoyed a private tasting that included some of their best selections, and every sip was a revelation. The staff was friendly and accommodating, making the experience even more enjoyable

We really enjoyed our 4 night stay at  Castello Banfi Il Borgo. It was perfect for getting over our  23 hour travel journey from Australia. The Estate is in an elevated, peaceful Tuscany  setting whose buildings are beautifully restored in full period architecture,  whilst still having modern conveniences. A Michelin * restaurant, a well appointed Tavern and breakfast at a third alfreco setting (or inside if preferred). A beautiful pool for the hotter weather. A winery & balsamic winery tour of the Banfi Estate is a must do!
All the staff were caring, professional and attentive to our needs.
Highly recommended!

The tour here was good, not great.  I was kind of expecting to tour the castle, but you actually tour the more modern winery down the road.

The real star here is the restaurant.  We got the tour + lunch, and lunch was amazing.  Great multi-course tasting menu with wine pairing.  This was one of the best meals we had in Italy.  My kids loved it too.

They pour a lot of wine at lunch.  I was expecting a tasting but this was more like 5 full glasses.  And the wine is quite good.

The service at the restaurant was top notch as well.  I would come here again in a heartbeat next time I’m in Tuscany.

Authentic castle vibe, amazing design and architecture, one of the best in Tuscany.

Pro:
- very professional and welcoming staff
- wonderful view, especially from the pool
- complimentary drinks and snacks at the pool
- superb, big rooms
- great museum inside the castle
- offers a great reading room with books and board games and complimentary drinks

Cons:
- not really related to the actual hotel, but the mobile signal is pretty weak to inexistent in that area. This also causes their own Wi-Fi to be very weak

We went there for a wine & dine.
The location is absolutely stunning, the food was more than perfect. I didn't have such a perfect service in a very long time. They love dogs as well - big plus!
