It's difficult to describe the experience. The main word that comes to mind is: Perfection.
This restaurant has come to be one of the best culinary experiences of my life. Regarding food, this would be the second or the third of all the three michelin stars that I have tried, but it can be easily be number one when we talk about service: of course very professional, but also very helpful and "warm" at the same time.

At the end, my wife was too full to take the desert so we asked to cancel it. As it was part of the tasting menu I was expecting to pay the whole menu but they had the consideration of reducing the cost as she was taking less. Something that I wasn't expecting at all, totally unneeded but greatly appreciated. As I said, may esaily be the best service I have ever had.

If you are around, try it. If you are far away at the other side of the worls, try it anyway. Worth the visit and there are some wonderful things to see around in that part of Italy. So come here and enjoy

Fantastic experience with IMO to be authentic and inventive Italian food. One of the oldest restaurants with 3 Michelin stars in Italy, and it's well deserved.

There are three different tasting menus to choose from, and I opted for the classic with all the signature dishes. It was spectacular.

The meal started off great with the spring "salad" bringing fresh and light flavors. It was surprisingly sweet and felt fresh. The next course was spectacular: the Murano cappuccino looked like a piece of art and tastes decadent. The colors are created by seaweed and beets extract on top of cuttlefish and potatoes soup. The dish is accentuated by the squid ink.

The tribute to pizza has excellent sauce and delicate dough. And it's a nice surprise to crack open the dough ball to find it contained cheese. The fish liver pasta felt fresh with a taste of the sea and the al dente bite contrasted with the tenderness of the squid was interesting. I opted for the almond mozzarella, and it tastes like mozzarella ice cream.

The only drawbacks were that it was actually too much food. By the end, I was actually overstuffed. Furthermore, I thought the bone marrow was visually exciting, but in the end was way too fatty with not enough acid to cut through it.

The service was the standard level of attention one expects from Michelin star restaurants. I did not order wine pairings, so I can't comment on that. I came during lunch, and it was practically empty. Apparently dinner is difficult to obtain reservations for.

Overall, worth the money.

We enjoyed celebrating our anniversary at Le Calandre, and it was a magnificent dining experience!! The interior and staff are all lovely and consummate professionals. With a bottle of Tokai wine from Veneto, 5 course tasting menu, and a surprise from the kitchen, we were walking on clouds as we left the lunch. Chef Max greeted each table twice during the meal, which is a beautiful representation of how he feels about his clients and wonderful food. We have dined at a 1-star Michelin restaurant in the area and this cannot compare. Book online very easily and park directly in front. Absolutely recommend 100% that you experience this once in your lifetime!

(about the restaurant, not the unconnected hotel) incredible experience and food, only problem was there was a bit too much food! We booked for lunch and the Classics menu with wine pairings which I highly recommend. Favourites were the carbonara, bone marrow, risotto and the first cold tomato dish. Wish I could go back and eat it all over again!

The best restaurant I've ever visited. Food, service and environment are amazing. It's an experience worth the trip, no matter how far you live.
