Friendly service and charming interior, but the food was just OK. Compared to other places we visited in Tuscany this just felt like a mass tourism place with average food. We had the T-bone as a main, although their menu says “rare only”, it was not rare but well done. Taste was nothing special. There’s definitely better places to find in Florence!

It's a very traditional family restaurant, serving extremely traditional Florentine food. Even though it looks small on the outside, they're actually extremely spacious on the inside. Still, they're filled almost always every single meal; it's quite appalling. As such, do make reservations before showing up.

Unlike everyone else who got their family menu, because it was only 2 of us, we got ourselves the peposo, the chicken cooked on a brick, and grilled sausages with spinach. The slight disappointment I guess was the expectations vs reality of things; food was good not great. We were really hoping for much more quality for the price point. Perhaps that's the true representation of Florentine food, which may not have suited our palette...

In any case, if you're in Florence, this is one of those restaurants that you should definitely try to get a seat at.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Make sure you make a reservation from the website, before you come. There was a huge queue at the restaurant already before the opening and everyone had reservations - imagine! We chose the tasting menu (family menu) and it was divine! Our waiter was also amazing who paced the serving dishes very well - first 2 courses faster, later courses slower. Everything was divine! You should definitely be openminded to experience “local Tuscany home food” before you come and embrace the restaurant’s style. If you have rigid ideas of “oh this is how you should steak/pasta”, this experience is not for you.The Florentine steak can be too rare for some people but we trusted the restaurant and it was delicious. We had no issues. The dishes and their order are particularly designed and selected purposely. It was an incredible experience, we really enjoyed it. We were super full in the end. The pasta/soup dishes were also amazing. The meringue was the biggest surprise at the end; very delicious. Would definitely come again!

I thoroughly enjoyed my birthday dinner at Il Latini! Everything was perfect, from the tasting menu through dessert. Giovanni was our host and I must say he is a true gentleman and professional, recommended the best Montepulciano to go with our meal, delivered the best the tiramisù and other birthday surprises. We will definitely return on our next trip to Florence, thank you!

Food was good overall, but the dessert was definitely my highlight. Absolutely loved the panna cotta and the tiramisu was really nice as well.

Had the Florentine steak (quite raw and chewy but otherwise very tasty), rabbit sauce pasta (very good!), vegetable soup (nice, very hearty and thick), and “chicken on a brick” (was a little bit dry).

Our only bigger downside was that the service was a little slow, and we felt not as prioritized sitting next to the larger tables, but it was also a busy night.
