Absolutely love it. This is my favorite Japanese restaurant and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys Japanese food, with well balanced innovations.

I came a few times, and each time the food was soooo good, yet the menu always has a few innovative dishes. The most amazing part is it's getting  better - even I thought this is the best already.

The chef is very friendly and kind. The dining atmosphere is great as you can chat with the chef and also the other customers as you're friends.

The sake pairing here is also great as you can get so many rare sakes that are kept at their best flavor.

We came here for lunch (dinner menu might be different) and got the “trust the chef” omakase which with tax and tip about 200 per person.

Each fish we had was SO fresh and delicious and I just wished there were more fish options or dishes. My favorites was the herring mashup and I believe the mackerel that had some type of green topping because each of these Nigiri’s were unique and the flavor profile stood out.

The chef was fairly quiet and allowed guests to speak to each other or watch him prepare dishes. The experience took about 2 hours which is longer than most omakase experiences I been to, but I didn’t mind the time because we had a healthy amount of dishes.

The sous chef or Hispanic man who was helping the chef brought really good energy to the experience and whenever you looked up at him he’d flash a huge smile! The server was also a kind woman who would fill in more details about the dishes or specific dish which was nice.

I wish the seats weren’t so crowded because the server kept having to reach over our bodies and it was a little hard to move the chair back to use the restroom. OH and speaking of the restroom it is SO clean and nice and definitely adds to the overall quality of experience. Also, I wish there were more Nigiri to try as opposed to some of the other dishes. Lastly, for guests special occasion (we went for a birthday) I’d hope something else is done besides a plate with a candle.

I’d still recommending going here and giving it a try yourself because the food experience was splendid and I came out full, whereas most omakase, I spend the money and I am still hungry.

If I could give 10 stars, I would, if I could give 20, I would too.

This is a well-deserved, one star, Michelin, restaurant. Jason and Betsy, the host and master chef couple of Sushi Shin run the show with passion and love!

Just by watching Jason preparing the food, and listening to his explanation of the origin of the materials of each dish, oh my, the restaurant becomes a sanctuary of Japanese cuisine.

Everything is so uniquely and beautifully crafted. The layer, the texture, and the waves of aftertastes of each dish is an adventure of its own.

The order of the appetizers, soup, tea dishes are also well-designed.

Sharing this exclusive experience with another 9 guests is like attending a masterclass of Japanese Cuisine.

Of course, the customer service is so good. Their friendliness and personal care makes you feel like a royalty, yet very homie as well.

Oh yeah, remember to check the restroom. A very classic Japanese experience as well.

Sushi Shin is an amazing premium sushi experience. The seafood is extremely high quality. Most fish are from Japan but are super fresh. Seasonality of seafood is also emphasized. Highlights of the meal were "fish cheese" and monk fish liver. The space is cozy and elegant. Sake list is quite impressive. Chef was fun, personable, and did a great job on explaining the food. Service is top notch as well.

Another joyful night of star-chasing at a renowned omakase in Northern California! 🌟
The chef, a friendly soul from Shanghai, made me feel the soul, and I finally experienced a seamless dining explanation here in the U.S. Although he said no need for promotion on social media 🤓, the experience was simply too amazing to keep quiet! 😍

This cozy spot requires reservations, but the perfect blend of Japanese and Shanghainese cuisine blew me away, especially the appetizers! The service made me feel truly welcomed, and the service fee was absolutely worth it—such heartfelt care! 💖he uses seasonal, fresh ingredients without holding back. Hearing the chef talk about the time and effort he puts into each dish was a reminder that omakase is truly an art form in the world! 🎨🍽️
