I recently dined at Thomas Keller's Surf Club Restaurant and had the pleasure of enjoying the Beef Wellington. It was absolutely amazing! The attention to detail in the preparation and presentation was impeccable. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the meat was cooked to perfection. The elegant ambiance and exceptional service only added to the overall experience. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience.

First stellar meal to start 2025! Exceptional evening. Drinks were perfectly prepared. As was the Short Rib Beef Wellington. Table side Caesar salad has to be one of the most flavorful I’ve had.

This place is honestly amazing. Excellent service throughout. Coziest vibe. We actually ate here twice during our Miami trip because the first night was so delicious. The food is simple but cooked to perfection. We loved the Caesar salad, caviar with accoutrements, lobster thermidor, beef wellington (technically for two but eaten by one with delightful leftovers), tagliatelle with white truffle, ora king salmon, chocolate cake and ice scream sundae. The cocktails and wine were excellent. I’m still recovering from these feasts. Coming back for sure every time we are in the area.

I had high hopes for the SC, for obvious reasons. Unfortunately, this is sometimes the quandary I get myself in with restaurants such as this.  The dining room itself wasn’t large, which I actually enjoyed and nicely appointed. But certainly nothing super memorable. Starting off with the tartar which was served very chilled fatty cut of beef which seemed like it was almost accidental as the chunks of fat were white and tough/chewy. On top of that, it was mostly flavorless.  The short rib Wellington was good, but not the best I’ve had and not sure the short rib worked as the texture was almost too soft for the dish. The eggplant parm was nothing of the sort, instead of a bowl of eggplant stew.  For these prices and expectations it was just a supreme let down.

I truly cannot express how lovely our evening was. We made reservations a month in advance and are so glad we did. The fettuccini is fantastic, and the NY strip was incredible. Our server was Justin and he was delightful and so kind. We got a tour of the kitchen with the manager, Hunter, and that was such a special touch. The hotel does have valet, and in July 2024 it was $35.
