Our final dinner in Spain included a special detour to Marbella, where I visited my good friend Jeffrey, the owner of Andala. After moving to this beautiful coastal town, Jeffrey set out to create a gourmet tapas experience. As an extreme foodie who travels the world in search of the best dishes, I was excited to see how he would combine local Andalusian ingredients with his knowledge of international cooking techniques.
Andala’s spacious and modern design, along with its outdoor patio, provided the perfect setting to enjoy the sun and a refreshing ocean breeze. The menu features celebrated regional dishes of Andalusia, each with a unique twist, and everything we tried was delicious. My family especially enjoyed the roasted onion cream soup, the rack of lamb, and the BBQ ribs, which became our favorite savory dishes. The thinly sliced potatoes were a standout, with their crispy layers. The Andalusian oxtail pastry reminded us of the Moroccan pastela but was filled with a flavorful oxtail stew. Dessert was equally impressive; we sampled three different options, and each was exceptional.

Where to start is the toughest part of this review.... Let's start with Jeff, the owner. Jeff was an awesome person to meet and chat with before sitting down. You can tell that he genuinely cares about his new presence in Marbella. Jeff took the time to make sure he spoke to all 12 guests at our table, making sure that each person knew the available options and got what they wanted.

Next up was the service. The wait staff was incredible and very professional - they did an amazing job at keeping up with not only our table but others. We could tell that they love what they do and that they want everyone to have an incredible culinary experience.

We ordered several tapas, each of which was absolutely incredible and tasty! Each dish was well crafted by the chef with excellent attention to detail and presentation. I was so blown away, I actually forgot to take pictures of the food!

The atmosphere is modern, new, and inviting. The seating was comfortable and the wines and cava was perfect.

A+++ to this hidden Marbella gem! If you're in the area for a real treat, swing by to grab a bite and enjoy the experience!

What a find! Fabulous imaginative dishes await at Andala with beautiful abstract art on the walls by local artist. We enjoyed the 8 course gourmet tapas tasting menu and a bottle of cava. It was all divine. Can't wait to go back soon.
Parking is easy nearby and the staff were lovely too. Very special place I'm looking forward to revisiting with friends.

Food is amazing, from plating to tasting the entire journey is a beautiful experience! Service is spectacular, perfect for business wining and dining or special occasions. I’m only in town for two weeks and been 3 times now.

The Andala restaurant in Marbella is an insider tip for gourmets and friends of fine dining. The dishes created by Chef Kanuto are of outstanding quality and prepared with love and passion. The taste and freshness of the dishes is unparalleled. The wine served was outstanding.The service is professional and attentive, there is nothing to complain about. The restaurant itself is decorated with great attention to detail and the terrace invites you to relax on warm summer evenings. The Andala deserves a rating of 10. We will definitely come back. Keep up the good work, guys!!!

PS: the only thing I'm missing is that no cocktails are served, but that's actually not a minor point  just something related to my personal preferences
