I highly recommend trying the salmon soup here—it’s absolutely delicious! The place exudes a charming local vibe, making the experience feel authentic and memorable. Honestly, I’d say it surpassed some of the fancy restaurants I’ve been to!

I picked to stay close to Kauppatori during an overnight layover, thinking I would be able to check out this place once it's opened.

At 6am, vendors began to show, by 8am, they were still busy setting up. Even the market was starting to take shape, I couldn't wait any longer for I had a flight to catch

With that said, I didn't get the chance to see a complete venue or try any food. However, just walking alongside the waterfront surrounded by beautiful architecture was a fond experience. I gave 4 stars to start.

Fresh and tasty food stalls inside the market kept us around in the Kauppatori, almost missed the ferry schedule, haha
the fresh juice and coffee gave us a kick and that's a good start in the morning.
come early as some stores close at noon.

I had the pleasure of visiting Helsinki for the first time recently, and I was thoroughly impressed by the market square. There was an abundance of delicious foods to sample, interesting items to purchase, and opportunities to create lasting memories of my visit to Helsinki. I highly recommend a visit to the market, and I look forward to returning to this wonderful place on my next trip to Helsinki.
