Slow food restaurant indeed with a great staff. Be patient as they might be a little overwhelmed in the summer time. Go early. This is not a Michelin star restaurant it’s a true to self Cretan traditional Gastronomy hub and they will take care of you in the best way possible. The orange pork and meat pie are insanely good. Generous portions as well.

Beautiful restaurant in the middle of nowhere - very authentic and with a beautiful scenery. The cuisine is delicious, all main dishes are cooked exclusively on wood. They also have a home made white wine, that was very good. I can recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the area, it’s worth a visit! You will love it.

As soon as you arrive in front of the restaurant you smell the food cooked over a wood fire, all the staff were really great, everyone is very helpful and warm (like everywhere in Crete), we had an unforgettable culinary experience, we had pork with an orange sauce which was really out of the ordinary.
The place is magnificent, thank you very much for your welcome and your generosity.

On the way from Chania to Paleochora had an unforgettable pit stop here… the ambience might feel initially a bit pretentiously folklore but the food was such a pleasant surprise. Yummiest tomato salad and pork pancetta ever, divine Horta pies … excellent service by youngsters …definitely goes to my go-to-list in the prefecture.
