Nice, tidy and quiet. Kind and professional staff. I’ve been welcomed nicely (with a genuine smile) Breakfast was also very nice. High quality food and staff took good care of the guests, keeping tables clean and tidy and buffet always filled up. Pastries and coffee were amazing. Good job 👍🏻

Hotel was beautiful. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Karan was amazing. He made me feel right at home, after telling him It was my first solo trip he made sure to help advise me on how to get places and how best to travel. I really appreciated it. I couldn’t have stayed anywhere better for my first solo trip!

The hotel and the staff were superb! Everyone made me feel very welcome and made my trip wonderful while I was there. The only thing I would say is the location is not exactly where I thought it was…completely my fault for not double checking, but I had to get a taxi into the city center every day which ended up costing me about $40-50 a day (round trip). You could walk to the Vatican if you wanted (about an hour walk) and I did one or two times. The walk is nice but kind of hilly. I enjoyed the walk reflecting on the beautiful art from the Vatican Museums and St. Peter’s Basilica.

This has been the worst IHG hotel stay I have ever had. The app promotes a shuttle from the airport to the hotel, turns out it’s not a free shuttle and no where on the website does it say that. I have had two terrible encounters with the woman running the spa/pool/fitness area. I have not been here 24 hours yet. She would not let me fill my water bottle unless I was actively working out although it is free and no sign says you can’t. The room is nice but the central air does not work and the room is much too hot. I am a loyal gold elite member of IHG and for the outrageous price I’m paying for this hotel I expected a little bit better of service. Update: I was given a drink voucher for the bar for my inconvenience and asked to take down this review.

This stay fell well below what we’ve come to expect from the Crowne Plaza brand globally. Coming from Australia, the hotel’s standards were noticeably lower than at other Crowne Plaza locations we’ve stayed at in different countries and back home.

The room had several ongoing issues—most notably, a MOULDY and FILTHY shower that should have been addressed before check-in. Noise insulation was poor and sounds from the corridor and neighbouring rooms regularly disrupted sleep.

Housekeeping was inconsistent, frequently forgetting to restock basic amenities like Nesquik, shower caps, and fresh linen. Although we booked for three adults, the room wasn’t fully prepared—the sofa bed lacked a blanket, which was especially frustrating in the middle of winter.

Most concerning was a serious security lapse. One night, another guest was somehow given access to our room and opened the door. This was alarming and completely unacceptable at any hotel, let alone a Crowne Plaza.

When we raised concerns about the TV (which had very few working English channels), the technician was rude and mocking, saying, “Just turn on the TV and press the buttons,” with clear impatience and no intent to actually assist.

On a positive note, the breakfast was excellent. The buffet was well thought out, with vegetarian options provided daily, and the ‘to-go’ breakfasts were packed with care. The vegan pastries were a highlight, and the breakfast staff were friendly and attentive. Igor and Lorenzo were great. Front desk staff, Nichols, Andre, Ali and Karan were also very kind.
