Visited with my family as we were on a trip to northern California to visit the Charles Schulz Museum and checked out a bunch of the other sites around the area.  Got reservations fairly easily here and were excited to check out a Thomas Keller restaurant without breaking the bank and going to his French Laundry.

The service was on the spot, all of the waitstaff were pleasant and checked on us not too often but just enough to make sure we had what we needed/wanted. The atmosphere of the restaurant is a bit on the noisy/loud side and the 80-90's music was irritating for my wife.  None the less, the decor and setting were nice and they had outdoor seating as well.

Now, onto the food... The short rib was a bit on the dry side and I was expecting it to be savory and fall apart tender but for me, it was not.  We had the gluten free fried chicken as an add-on and it was very good.  The mushroom side was a bit on the salty side and the salad was large and it was for our family of 4 but sadly our two children don't do salads so for me and wife, it was too much but that's on us not telling the staff we only needed salad for two.  The rest of the meal was very good.

So, all in all, a good, but not a great dinner at Ad Hoc for the money spent.

This was a great family experience. The food was everything I thought it would be & more. Haven't been able to get into the French Laundry (not for the lack of trying) so decided something is better than nothing. I was not disappointed! Happy with this alternative! Very much still, Thomas Keller.

Each course family style was smart & generous. We also ordered the additional items on the menu that day. Everything tasted superb. Only complaint is the beans dish was extremely salty.

The cocktails, wine, moscato & cappuccino were really good.

Service was nice & personable.

This was a memorable treat for us all.

I was really looking forward to eating here. My friend spoke so highly about his experience. Unfortunately, this particular time didn't live up to the expectations. Pork arrived on a cold plate. Chicken was fried too hard, and they ran out of the menu featured dessert.
Staff were very pleasant and did what they could to accommodate. I think it just wasn't their best night. I am planning to return. Hopefully, for a better experience.

It’s a set menu that changes daily. You cannot order a la carte but you can add their special options of the day along with wine pairing. TRUST THIS PLACE!!!!!! Everything they put in front of you is amazing and massively portioned. Also not pictured was a bread basket, salad to start and cheese plate right before dessert. Unbelievable experience and the staff is SO KIND and fun and they truly love what they’re doing.

We visited Ad Hoc on Sunday evening with our 7 yr old and in-laws. Food was absolutely amazing. We started with a tomato gazpacho…I don’t like tomatoes, and I still had two servings because it was that good! We also had the roasted chicken, and it was melt in your mouth tender and flavorful. Our 7 yr old loved the chicken and the fudge sundae dessert. Service was personable and attentive. Highly recommend this spot for dinner.
