Great place with poor service. Hostess killed the experience.

The hostess has Malevola’s energy. Antipathy and rudeness resumes the attitude. Just asked for a table under the shadow she gave a straight no go then kept it empty for 2 hours until I left.

The point is not the empty table, but the rudeness in the air. Elegance rules the world.

Don’t recommend and will never come back. Kindness and happiness is all we need for a Sunday lunch. And that is all they can’t deliver.

The food is poor as well. Same menu than US fast food chains restaurants like Hard Rock Cafe, KFC (chicken is really worse) TGI Fridays or Wendies.

The hostess must learn to care more about customers experience and less about her petite poire hated don with the angry face. A smile on the face is so welcomed.

We come for happiness. Not for disrespect.

If I owned this placed I’d revied my representatives staff for sure.

We visited The Lawns during our vacation, drawn by the promise of stunning views—and they did not disappoint! The scenery was breathtaking, and the revamped menu was equally impressive, with each dish showcasing the lead ingredient beautifully.

Our family (kids aged 1-11) especially appreciated the wonderful play area, which kept the little ones entertained throughout. They even had a cute ice cream cart for the kids after lunch! The food was absolutely delicious—we tried the Thai Green Curry Mussels, Fried Hake, Sushi, Prawns, and a standout beet and golden raisin salad (so good we ordered a second!).

The highlight of our visit was the exceptional service from Lovell. He was attentive, kind, and went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. Despite a brief bout of rain and wind, the team kept us comfortable with blankets and umbrellas, ensuring we enjoyed our time until the weather cleared into a gorgeous day.

This visit was one of the highlights of our trip, and we’ll definitely return next time we’re in Cape Town! Highly recommended.

The highlight of The Lawns at Roundhouse is undoubtedly the stunning views. The staff were friendly, though their attentiveness could use some improvement.

I was disappointed with my food choice, the Tiger Prawn Tagliatelle. The dish was dry and lacked flavor, with the prawns being quite small—certainly not tiger prawns. There were only 6 tiny pieces of prawns. At R290, it didn’t feel worth the price.

On a positive note, the sushi, pizza, and cocktails were enjoyable and helped balance out the experience.

We loved the ambience and would definitely return, just not for the prawn pasta.

Great cocktail menu matched by great views. Generous starter portion ( octupus ) and perfect seafood pizza. While it was quite busy on a Sunday afternoon there was no problem finding parking and all the staff were super friendly and efficient.

The only thing going for this place is the sunset view. And it's popularity on social media.

It is a pain getting there and there is no parking.

Service is atrocious. I was ignored by 2 servers asking where the section is where our booking was. Also ignored for about an hour after the first drinks delivery.

Ordered pizza and it took 2 hrs to arrive. And tasted very blah.
Ordered tacos as a filler whilst waiting for the pizza (had to flag down another waiter to do so, as ours was MIA) Chicken taco tasted like a poor imitation of chicken mayo sandwich.

Cheesecake we ordered for dessert was sent back: it was stale, lacked flavour and tasted of maizena more than anything else.

The toilet facilities are in an old dilapidated building with no charm to save it from looking tattered. It was also dirty and left me feeling gross.

Only reason to go here is if you really want the IG selfie
