I was received warmly by the staff at the front desk. They helped me check my bag and umbrella in a locker for free. As others have mentioned, the architecture and story of the building's history is impressive. I struggled to make sense of the majority of the art on display. The rooms were mostly dark and gray, many of the artworks were gray or black, the interpretive signs were gray and poorly lit. Many of the art exhibits were big dark rooms with video screens. Sitting down and watching videos is just not my preference.

As an art enthusiast this was not one of my favorite art galleries in Cape Town. Some floors merely display any kind of art. Zeits feels more like a historic museum to me than an art gallery. While I understand the importance to historical events, a whole floor should not be dedicated to it. Some pieces however were impressive. I like the idea of a gift shop, and sometimes u can even take a paper-print home for free. Overall i wouldn't return, but I suppose it also depends on personal taste and comprehension of art.

The Zeits Museum of conteruary art is a must.
Great concept - amazing architectural adaptation of grain storage. Very well curated art. Please save at least 2 hours for the visit as some video art have length and need time.

Space is spectacular.
Visiting roof garden on 6level and coffee with a view to port on the balcony highly recomended.

Around V&A
Sunset boat tours are good romantic option to rest your legs. Some include a glass of sparkling wine.
Can get windy but they provide ponchos.

Beautiful Silo building. Amazing architecture.
Absolutely worth the visit.
I suggest buying tickets in advance online, for a smooth and easy entrance.
Toilets are situated on two floors, -1 and 6th floor.
There's a lovely lounge on the 6th floor too, where you can have a drink or eat something.
There is so much to see and discover, different exhibitions taking place and spread over 5 floors, 0-4. You will definitely need a break in between or spread it out over the day.
It's situated by Waterfront, so a stroll or lunch there could be a nice break too.
Gift shop is worth the visit.
Plenty of underground parking available near by.

Expositions + the building = totally worthy. Inspiring, old/futuristic building with history. Incredible lines, heights. Interesting art, especially touching on the 5th floor, about wars and missed people love and life stories
