My favorite dish at this restaurant is the Mixed Bean Sprout. It’s a cold dish, and the sauce ties everything together beautifully. It’s incredibly refreshing. However, if you have a peanut allergy, be sure to inform the staff before ordering.

The Peking Duck is also quite nice. That said, some of the skin had fallen off, and my friend mentioned that each piece of meat should ideally come with some skin. Nonetheless, the duck was tender, and I was pleasantly surprised by how well dipping it in granulated sugar balanced out the fattiness. I really enjoyed it.

As for the Grilled Lamb, it was packed with flavor. I highly recommend pairing it with rice for the best experience.

Overall, I enjoyed the dishes here and would definitely return!

The best Peking Duck chain in my opinion. I have tried their food for two times at different locations across the past couple of years. Food quality is consistent. Would highly recommend this chain as your first Peking Duck try if this is your first time in Beijing. Other brands are good too but not the best for the causal traveler dining with friends and families.

Roast duck here is simply outstanding. The skin is perfectly crispy and glistening, and the meat is fragrant, juicy, and tender. Each duck is freshly roasted, carved right on a spot near you and promptly served you. Also, the waiter will guide you on how to eat the roast duck.

I also highly recommend trying the Qiaomiao bean seedlings. They are incredibly fresh and have a delightful flavor.

To avoid long waits, it’s best to visit outside of peak meal times.

We strategically planned our visit outside normal meal times and arrived at 2:30 PM to get a number. There is a waiting area with snacks and drinks—special mention to their delicious cherry tomatoes! The queue is divided into three series based on table size: 2 pax, 4 pax, and larger groups. As a table of 4, we were seated around 4:30 PM and finished our meal just before 6 PM.

This branch, located next to the Palace Museum, is an obvious crowd magnet. Despite the long wait, the roast duck felt tastier than others we tried during this trip—perhaps because of the anticipation! It was beautifully presented and less fatty compared to others. The zhajiang noodles were also excellent.

The service stood out as calm and unrushed, even with plenty of people waiting (we waited too!). Overall, a great experience that was well worth the time.

Recommend to get the queue number in advance as you might end up queuing for 3-4hours. The duck was amazing and it’s the most so far I tried in Beijing. However it’s a bit pricey compared to others duck restaurants in Beijing. It’s totally worth it. You can choose the set menu to order as well, 2person meal set is enough to share between 3ppl.
