Took a tour bus from Beijing for about an hour and a half(highly recommended).

Although the scenery and views are just amazing, it's harder to walk up or down it than you will think. The floor is angled and some steps can get up to 50cm/1.5 ft. But maybe it's worth the view.

Bucket list … ✅ This was such an amazing experience, highly recommend going with a tour and going early on in the day. We had the wall practically to ourselves, took the chairlift up and down off of the wall. Spent around 3-4 hours walking  around, taking pics.  There are toilets and food available in the wall, or you can bring your own. We even did a champagne toast! The views are breathtaking, and while the ups and downs can be steep, it’s totally worth it. Highly recommend!

Visiting the Great Wall of China is the experience of a lifetime! The Mutianyu section has several unique architectural features and is one of the best preserved and restored sections of the Great Wall. This is easy to get to from Beijing and is well worth the trip. Hiking to the top of the restored section is a good challenge and is quite a treat. Beijing is visible from the top on a good day.

This was a bucket list item I had and one of the main reasons in wanting to visit China. I visited during winter so despite the cold it was still a very unique and breathtaking views from every angle.
The allowed walkable distance would take about 1 hour in each direction from the starting point and we covered only one side of it.

There are two different spots to access and enjoy the Great Wall of China, and this one is one of those 2 visiting places.

Expect it to be crowded with visitors, and there are plenty of stairs and plenty of walking.

Do not expect restrooms or kiosks to buy snacks and drinks while on the wall, but at the entrance area, yes there are.

I can’t speak much to buying tickets as I visited the place with a tour agency, and they handled the ticket part.
