An Italian restaurant in Central area, Hong Kong. Foods were great. Using good ingredients. Bread was good. Desert was amazing. Attentive service.

Absolutely loved the blue lobster with har gau and caviar and the red prawn pasta…. They were the stars of the meal for us. The steak was beautifully cooked too. Dessert was tasty.  We had a great table at the corner which allowed my partner and I sitting next to each other rather than opposite. We’ll come back again for sure!

Surprised to find out it is 2 stars. Food was just ok, no wow impact. Some were very under seasoned. Mostly served in luke warm temperatures. Annoying music, funny bleach smell and very cold air cond (after I complained about the bleach smell) ! Later part of the dinner just went so wrong because of how cold they suddenly then adjusted the room

Dining at Octavium was an unforgettable experience! Each dish felt like a work of art, both visually stunning and bursting with flavor. I was truly impressed by the creativity that went into every plate. The two Michelin stars are well-deserved! The wine pairing suggestions were not only good but also incredibly professional, enhancing each course beautifully. The service was wonderfully attentive, making me feel relaxed and well taken care of throughout the meal. It’s a perfect blend of comfort and elegance. I can’t recommend this place enough—if you’re looking for a special night out, it is worth to go !

I went to Octavium for lunch to celebrate my friend's birthday, we ordered the 4-course lunch menu. Overall I don't think they deserved the Michelin 2 stars that they were awarded last year. Based on their food quality and especially service, they may borderline hit one star.
The meal started off with a decent amuse bouche - some sort of puff with celery filling, then it went downhill with the first course. Appetizer is salad with scallop where the scallop is overdone; followed by Spanish red prawn linguine which is just so-so, the prawn didn't feel fresh enough but it required $280 to top up. I've chosen beef as my main course, that was ok, the artichoke on the side with black truffle was a mismatch though.
Overall food quality is acceptable but not 2 stars, service is the issue.
This is supposed to be a birthday celebration and during reservation I've asked for including a birthday message with my friend's name, their staff also confirmed with me on WhatsApp that the birthday message will come with dessert. When dessert came, there was no birthday message, the message only came with the Petite Four at the end and my friend's name wasn't there. And the staff also didn't explain much about the dessert, it felt like the staff was rushing to leave work soon.

Overall it's disappointing, and not the level of food and service that I would expect from a Michelin two star, and this price range for lunch, not again.
