The food was absolutely phenomenal, with well-balanced and unforgettable flavors. Ingredients I don’t typically gravitate toward—like sea cucumber, ginkgo nuts, persimmon, and anything sweet potato—were so beautifully prepared that I found them delightful. The chef’s personal touch on one of the dishes came with such a cute story, making the experience even more special. They also incorporated a few childhood memory ingredients, turning the meal into a nostalgic walk down memory lane. The service was equally impressive. Philip took excellent care of us, and the entire team was incredibly attentive, ensuring a seamless dining experience. I’m already looking forward to my next visit. Highly recommended!

Returning to an old friend with consistent good flavours and high service standard

We had been old customers at VEA a few years ago and returning this time, it felt like visiting an old friend, serving the consistent excellent flavours, with the most amicable service (as usual with Alex).

Most remarkably, they still had records of our dietary remarks without having to remind them in advance, that has made a special touch and difference to other fine dining restaurants in town.

It has been a while since we last visited VEA, but glad to know that it's kept its high standards throughout the years, will definitely return in near future.

My favourite still lies with the signature dish Sea Cucumber, but the Red Prawn starter dish is also memorable.

(from an ordinary dinner from just occasionally go to michelin stars restaurants) VEA definitely has the potential to claim the 2 stars title.

I can see their ambition to achieve more and get more recognition, judging from its cutlery, services and even its toilet. They deliver way above standard and I enjoyed a lot from the interaction with every waiter and waitress. And I do give them credit in this regard. However, the most important thing is still their dishes.

I am truly inspired and impressed by their execution of French and Chinese/ Cantonese fusion. The dishes taste unique and pleasant, which showcase the chef capability of pushing the boundaries. But on the flip side, i also feel some dishes are not harmonious enough, to me, i don’t feel necessary to have persimmon alongside the mackerel and caviar, as well as the texture of fired crab meat against the sea cucumber.

Worth pointing out they collab with Quniary in providing cocktail pairing, which they deliver excellent cocktails and all matches well with the dishes.

Not many fine dining restaurants in HK include the canton / hk culture into their dishes, so I am happy to see VEA being one of them. And i had a good time in this restaurant.

Absolutely my favourite French-Chinese fusion fine dining in HK~

Exquisite ingredients were used, however, I felt the quality of the ingredients were not of top notch. Their natural flavors were masked or lacking, somehow. That being said, the meal was still of very high quality for sure with great creativity being shown. Presentation was also amazing. Great services and vibrant atmosphere. Somewhere I will try once, but might not return.
